A perfect azure-blue sky, fluffy white clouds painted the sky. Yet, Marcus had requested Issac's presence. Discussing a private and important matter, a job for the Renegades, but needed to know they didn't have a full schedule.

Marcus's timing couldn't have been more horrible on Issac's time.

"Mr. Merlin," Marcus greeted the Renegade from his desk, "Please take a seat. Would you like some coffee?"

"I would, thank you for offering it," Issac answered, kindly.

Marcus had already prepared to cups of steaming, dark coffee. He handed Issac the coffee, placing it on a coaster near his seat. It appeared that coffee would've still been a  yes if he shad said no.

Marcus's skeptical eyes seemed to take in every detail of Issac. The scars from battles and fights from missions. Issac couldn't help, but feel like he was being practically watched by a stalker. He was uncomfortable.

"How are the training sessions with Therapist Specialist Callius?"

"Fine, they are much needed," Issac half-lied, but sounded honest, "Her trust exercises are easy to get through."

"Would everyone say that in the Renegades if I were to ask them?"

"Not Elsa, but that's just Elsa. She really doesn't like the trust exercises."

"I see. Ms. Engstorm will always be a rebellious teenager it seems," Marcus took note before clearing his throat.

Issac could see why Callius hated Marcus straight off the bat. He made already some rude comments on people without a care in the world. Without even trying, he would easily make you uncomfortable.

That's probably what he wanted out of everybody. Make them nervous beyond all belief for what he was about to say. The coffee already being ready for Issac even if he said yes or no had been a thread of being uncomfortable.

"Are you aware of your upcoming mission to assist Captain Pike with negotiations with the Klingons? To discuss the new boundary conditions?"

"Yes, Callius discussed with me over breakfast in the Renegade apartment section. He wanted to make sure I was prepared for anything you questioned or asked."

"As he should prepare," Marcus nodded, "Tell me what you know about Ms. Pike? The captain?"

"She has been known for her negotiation skills. Not to state the most obvious, but married to Captain Christopher Pike. She has super strength, she is a good friend of Callius's," Issac listed all he knew, "why do you ask, sir?"

"I was making sure you would know enough about your leading commander on the mission," Marcus told him, "Then you must know of her two children as well?"
