—|another round|—
Anya felt like she was waiting. Waiting forever as she sat in the small room that she declared as her quarters in the ship she'd stolen. A good thing that she wasn't claustrophobic due to how small and tight the room was.
The room had a small bed tucked into the wall, a single table. There was one long thread of light above her head. There was a clunky 22nd century radio that was used years ago by Arik to deliver news.
For the last few hours, she'd been listening closely to his radio channel. Her thoughts laid upon Demitria, hoping to hear perhaps a warrant for her head or any evidence that she escaped. She was never one to be so hopeful and awaiting some sort of wonderful news.
Hours ago, she'd listened to Arik announcing her own warrant. Oddly, she found out her head was up for a very high price for the scavengers. Twice the amount Arik usually offered. So maybe she had been slightly special in his eyes.
'Oh! Stop it! It doesn't matter anymore,' Anya told her brain's overachiever and needy side.
The past hours were filled with trying to keep the chipped soldiers doing duties. She hated having to send them away from her room. They were annoying little pests that she needed to protect her from Arik.
She sighed heavily, tossing strands of her white hair behind her ears. For once she was out of Arik's black uniform's. She'd found some nice gray jeans, black short-sleeved shirt, and a long mouse-gray sweater that was probably used to an extra set of clothes if something went wrong on a mission. Arik did not like seeing his uniforms torn up.
Huddled up in her too-big of a sweater, she listened to the radio's buzzing. The waiting was getting to her brain, irritating her immensely. She'd stay up all night if she had to get information on Demitria.
"Official news report from Arik Soong's tech department," A loud high-pitched male voice shouted form the radio, "Reporting official news and current status of Anya Bradbury's search. There has been no official report from any scavengers of finding her in the Lucia sector-"
'The Lucia sector and space station was too obvious of a place to hide,' Anya remembered her thoughts from yesterday.
Scavengers from all across the galaxy paid visits and stays there. Food, supplies, and ships were always provided on that high-functioning space station. Every Recreaction who was a scavenger knew the exact coordinates.
If she had gone there, she would've been captured on the spot. Sent back to Arik for a gruesome punishment, most likely death. Why on earth would Arik think of her as that stupid to flee to Lucia?
She'd hidden behind the Starfleet space station closest to Vestrea, blocking out her ship's signal with the help of the chipped soldiers. They'd been quite useful on blocking any tracking signals that Amy lead Arik to find her. They were permanently closed off from the world around them.
