"Promise you'll come back safe?"

Two young girls, the same age. Only one was a few months older, worrying over her friend leaving for Vestrea. Her face etched with worry glistening in her dark chocolate brown eyes.

Callius's daughter, Amaya and Brystal, Pike's daughter were the best of friends. Practically, just like two sisters. It was evident over the course of their final moments before Brystal left for Vestrea.

Brystal met Amaya's worried eyes, staring into those dark eyes. She could understand that it what's easy during goodbye to someone you had an unbreakable bind with, her mother always said something like that. However, she saw Amaya had no use to worry.

Amaya's father was sending the well-trained and warrior-like Renegades to protect and bodyguard form trouble. Well, they were also there just in case negotiations crossed  alien and took a turn for the worse. Brystal already felt safe.

"Why wouldn't I? The renegades are protecting my brother and me. They were trained by your father-"

"I know, but I'm just worried that something's ands gonna happen," Amaya innocently confessed. Her eyes met Brystal's careful and observant gaze.

The Pike bit her lip, knowing she'd miss Amaya too. It was hard in the both of them to even mutter goodbye. They were only 6 of course. Young and still vulnerable to the exotic ways life could turn their worlds upside down.

"If it makes you feel better, Mya. I promise. I promise that I'll come back," Brystal told her as she wrapped her friend in a warm hug.

They hugged for a few moments, soaking in their last few minutes together. You would miss each other dearly for the next few days on Vestrea. There wouldn't be a second that they did not remember to think for each other.

"Shake a leg, Bry!" Kit's voice suddenly spoke from behind the two, "Mom's waiting and all."

"You're insufferable," Amaya huffed as she pulled away form Brystal, taking her hand, giving it one last squeeze for good luck.

"Goodbye for now," Brystal farewelled to Amaya before doing the same to Aera, who arrived beside her daughter after talking with Ava, "Goodbye, Aera."

"Have a safe trip," Aera replied as Kit took Brystal's hand, making their way to their mom. Brystal's other hand, untouched and loose began waving to Amaya. The Callius waved back before her mother and her had to leave before the 5 minute leaving call started.

Their mother was beyond beautiful in their eyes. The body of a model, light blue eyes, blonde hair that was shoulder length, and her pretty smile. She was always the most beautiful lady they'd ever seen.

She was wearing her yellow shirt, talking with their father for a few moments. Both looking formal and well-mannered Starfleet officers. Ava and Chris always seemed to fit into their jobs, perfectly.
