—|you don't do it for me|—
"Viper," Demitria immediately stood in front of Anya, Ava, and Christopher. Protection became her first instinct.
The chipped soldiers were all aimed at the four, no mercy shined from their helmets. Weapons raised directly at every fatal spot on their bodies. Only holding back because they hadn't received the order from Viper.
She was the only one who could try persuading Viper, she was engaged to him.
However, she saw someone else that wasn't the Viper she knew.
Viper stood out amongst his cohorts and soldiers. He stood there like a man on a mission. His eyes settled on Demitria as if he was telling her to step away, growing more agitated by the second.
"I'm on orders from Arik to bring you four back, your refusal to comply won't end well. I promise you that all for of you will suffer greatly," Viper explained, "Arik may still have the heart to forgive you for believing Ava's lies."
Kit tugged on his mother's sleeve in absolute fear, his mother wrapped a protective arm around him. Her other hand settled on the baton at her back. She was ready to defend them.
Demitria shot her a quick look that begged her to not harm him. She begged Ava not to start a fight too early through her pleading eyes. Above all, she knew that Arik wanted to prove to everyone that Ava was willing to fight the Recreations like she didn't care about them.
Demitria wasn't much of a conversationalist or negativity, but she tried, "Vioer, please, try to understand! Arik lied to us all. Ava is alive! She isn't here to kill us! Look!"
Viper's eyes didn't move from Demitria, causing frustration to burst inside Demitria, "look at her!"
Demitria glided away for a second so that Viper's eyes slid on Ava's for a hot second. Suprise ignited in those fatal seconds. Viper recognized the woman immediately.
He could never forget the blonde haired beauty who once graced these halls. Her laughter that filled the air after a stupid joke. He piercing blue eyes that could search anybody else's eyes for hours to see if they were lying.
He wasn't going to be misled by Demitria. He had a duty to fulfill.
"I expected better than you to believe such lies, Demitira," Viper answered, eyes meeting hers once more, "Ava Pike attacked Arik and yet you stand here protecting her. Anya......to you as well.........what reason on earth would you betray us-"
"Betray?!? Betray?!?!? I would never betray you! What a filthy word! I can't believe Arik has deceived you once more," Demitria spat.
"Arik is an old friend of mine, you should know this better than anyone. Every lie there is a truth behind it. Ava did attack him and you did join her side. You can't lie about that."
