"Lyris! My, my, you look as lovely as a blue moon flower!" Senator Aimee greeted the Starfleet members, her shiny prefect white teeth glittered from the suns rays piercing through the windows. Draped in all white and crystal looking jewelry.
Lyris thought to herself, 'White resembles purity and innocence.' Aimee was the picture perfect lady for innocence.
The all new docking bay that the Skyler's had built at the cost of gold wasn't very good at shielding the sun yet. Windows of largely displayed glass art counter din the light. A huge staircase that looked completely melted gold led all the way up into the Skyler's dozens of palaces.
"You haven't changed much, Aimee. I congratulate your engagement to my father. He is a very lucky man to have you as a wife," Lyris greeted Aimee, open arms. The way the senator had down for her so many years ago. She grabbed Aimee's extended hands, shaking them gently. Acting like she accepted the Senator as her family.
She held back her enraged irritation for her father with a sweet-talking voice. No one would suspect that she lied under her breath. They wouldn't know she spoke of her antipathy for her father's engagement behind closed doors. Only Issac was aware of her frustration towards the engagement.
Lies was all she could speak to Aimee, not wanting to hurt the Senator. She worried she would shatter Aimee's heart. Conceal and act like it was the best news ever to hear.
"You flatter me. I'm more lucky to have such a riveting and beautiful girl as a daughter."
'I'm not your daughter,' Lyris silently bit back the thought, the sharpness would pierce any shell of concealing her thoughts of the meant. Her true ones.
Men walked gracefully past the two to grab the luggage. Every step in sync, every clip of their armor were on the same what, and the pivot they and to walk back was executed simultaneously.
"Let us not get ahead of ourselves, there is a storm brewing upstairs," Lyris told Aimee.
"Indeed, those Klingons are hard to entertain or keep quite in any matters. They came last night and, oh, that was the worst sleep I've had in five years!!!"
Something suddenly could disrupt her beauty sleep. Honestly, Lyris was quite surprised to hear such a remark out of her.
"Klingons are very uniquely loud when to comes to entertainment," Ava Pike stepped forward, "Senator Aimee, I am Captain Ava Pike of the U.S.S Curie, you have probably met my husband before. He traveled here a few times in the last few years."
"Yes, and what a gentleman your husband is. You're very lucky to have him," Aimee pulled away from Lyris and greeted Pike. Her eyes scanning the heroes of Vestrea years ago, The Renegades.
They all grown up so much. So had the boy, Lyris had loved so dearly, he was now a man who had the cold gaze of a drill sergeant and the build of a warrior.
