You worriedly sigh, looking down at Levi's sleeping face. 'It's been a day. But he hasn't shown any signs of getting better...'

"Lev?" You mutter softly, your fingertips delicately brushing his sticky hair aside.

He didn't respond. You quietly listened to his breathing. You were forced to sleep in his room yesterday, as he was in your bed.

You had already attended and gotten breakfast, not bothering to prepare any for Levi- as you knew he didn't have an appetite.

'Do you know how much trouble you're causing me?'

With a yawn, you fell back asleep, your head resting on the side of your bed.
___

You woke up with a start.

Levi, who was sleeping nearby, what seemed like moments ago, had disappeared.

"Erwin!" You rushed into his office, his door banging open. "Erwin, where's Levi?" You demand.

He didn't look up from his seat. "Levi? You didn't know, (Y/N)?"

"Know what?"

"There's an expedition today."

You stormed out of his office, looking for Levi.

After looking almost everywhere, you finally spotted him. "Levi!" You called out, watching him mount his horse.

He froze, and stopped. "Yes?" He calmly asked, after he got comfortable in the saddle.

"What are you doing?" You asked him back, equally as calm.

"Leaving."

"Have you forgotten the fact that you are unwell?"

"I'm perfectly fine."

You sigh, and motion another man to bring your horse. "Was the make-sure-Eren-does-something-cool-or-else-he-dies expedition today?"

"If the expedition goes well...we won't need to hand him over to those pigs."

You quietly thank the man who returned with your mare. You got up on her, and swung your leg over her flank.

"So, c'mon. What are you waiting for?"

"(Y/N)! You're coming too?" Jean grinned.

Levi silently looked at you.

You smiled at Levi, before returning your attention to Jean.

"Yeah, I have to baby-sit this one over here." You flicker your eyes towards Levi, and Jean gave you a thumbs-up.

"Who are you baby-sitting?" Levi asked, moving his horse close enough so he could grab your cheeks, and stretch them.

"Ow, Levi, ow!"

You heard a chuckle behind you. "Levi...what are you doing to (Y/N)?"

"Hewlp, Hanhi!" Your voice came out sounding strange.

Hanji sat there with a smile on her face, watching you and Levi. After a while, she wandered away on her horse. "Well, that's none of my business."

"Hey! Come back!" You yelled at her with no avail.

You finally struggled free from Levi's hands. "Owww." You complain, your fingertips gently touching your cheeks.

He recomposed himself. "You shouldn't come."

"How come?" You ask, your hands settling on the reins once again.

"It's too dangerous."

You felt a offended. "Levi." You heralded his name, glaring at him slightly. He unflinchingly met your eyes, his dull gray eyes piercing you.

You led your horse away from him, feeling a fit of unfairness.

'I can't believe you...are you seriously pushing me away because of this stupid reason?'

"Well, too bad." You looked back at him. "I'm going anyway."

___

Your eye twitched in annoyance as you fanned yourself with your hand. "Someone explain to me why I'm located in the second safest spot in the formation."

"Levi, you know I'm better in the outer rows," you insisted. "Are you really going to feed those kids who don't know what they're doing to those monsters?"

"This is the formation, and no one is getting fed to anyone," Levi scoffed. "We'll keep going, and use this strategy. Use the red, green, and black when Titans are spotted. A moment's hesitation could lead to death."

You sigh inaudibly.

"C'mon." You quietly whispered to your mare, leading her away. She raised her head and turned it around to look at you in question.

You jump off her back, grabbing some carrots, and offered them to her. "You wanna eat, girl?" You cooed, touching her brown flank.

She shook her head to get rid of the pesky flies, and looked down at you through her long eyelashes.

You gave her a carrot, which she happily ate. You affectionately pet her muzzle, the crunching sound filling the empty air.

"Oh, (Y/N)!" A voice called out, causing you to turn around.

"We're leaving."

You smile at the familiar face, and got back on the mare. "Coming, Armin."
