You swung through the air with unhappiness. Even though you were defending the Wall, after a mysterious number of Titans appeared...you couldn't take your eyes off Hana and Levi.
'I should probably keep my eyes on the Titan- or else I'd get a big lecture...'
You swung in the air around the Titan, before piercing your blades into its neck, chopping off a chunk of it's flesh.
You accidentally saw Hana laughing with Levi as you were settling on a tall building roof.
You moved on to the next Titan, with newfound determination. 'If I can't beat Hana in that...then at least let me kill the Titans!'
You remembered Mikasa. The way she danced gracefully on the rooftops before coming down on the Titan.
You ran on the rooftops, your grapple hook going crazy as you shot one after another.
Your feet grazed the bricks as you ran towards the Titan, your breathing even.
You jumped in the air, before the grapple hook pulled you down onto the Titan's neck.
And gracefully, neatly, quickly, you sliced off the neck part.
Their weakness.
And with that, you quickly shot a grapple to the nearby rooftop, and jumped away before the Titan collapsed.
The Titan face-planted into the ground. You were killing one after another. It's been a few hours now.
'I'm tired.'
Your grin falters as you watch Hana playfully tease Levi as he sliced a Titan.
Your eyes widen as you spot a shadow from over-head. You leap out of the way. Just in time, as a large Titan hand smacks the building.
"You bad, bad Titan." You mutter, cleaning off your blade before rushing at it.
He lunged at you again, almost knocking you off your balance. You shifted lines, and jumped to his neck.
You quickly observed the remaining Titans. There was about twenty left. Four- heading this way.
You plunged your blade deep in the Titan's neck, and drew a circle, cutting the chunk out.
You leaped onto another's back, your blade shone in the sunlight, as the other three Titans approached.
'Wait for it...'
'20 feet.'
'10...'
Your blade purged into the skin. You shot a hook onto the high clock tower nearby.
You watched them from above, their wide mouths open, and their hands grabbing for you.
With a quick flip, you let yourself go, and swung down- cutting the three Titans.
'There's so many different ways to kill them by their weak spots.'
"(Y/N)- focus and stop showing off." Levi said, as he swung by. "Hey." You laugh, and follow him.
He looks back, amusedly. "Yes?"
You two attracted the nearby Titan's attention. Four more lumbered over.
"I'll take three, you can have one." You called to Levi, already swinging towards the Titans.
"I insist. I'll take all four."
You hear a scream, almost causing you to freeze. You mumble a prayer under your breath as you slice the Titan's neck off.
Levi swore as the Titans fell around him.
___
"Hana..." You stared down at her. She lay on the Infirmary bed, her breathing ragged.
Your eyes moved to her legs.
No. Her leg.
Hana's scream was the one you had heard earlier. The scream of pain was hers.
Her leg was lost as she tried to escape a Titan. Thankfully, Mikasa was there, and managed to save Hana.
Hana's head was all bandaged up, her eyes covered.
Blood was already starting to seep through her bandages.
Levi and Mikasa had just left, leaving you alone.
She seemed to hover between the line of life and death.
You took a deep breath. "Are you going to stay confined to a wheelchair?"
She didn't respond.
'Of course she won't respond.'
You left the room, unsure of what to think and say.
___
You found yourself standing in-front of Levi's door once more.
You knocked once before barging in. "Lev." You said, earning a 'tch' from the resting corporal.
"Lev." You said, more insistingly.
He sat up in his bed. "What?" He asked, taking a hand through his hair.
"Are you okay?" You ask, taking a seat by Levi on his bed.
"Why wouldn't I be okay?" He asked, nonchalantly.
"I dunno." You said, your fingers weaving together nervously.
He stayed silent, but he drummed his fingers against his cheek.
"Lev?"
"What."
"I'm really glad we met." You said, swinging your legs. "Did you really come for that?" Levi asked.
You grin at him. "Just in case something happens to me in battle. I just wanted you to know..."
You hesitated.
'Because we all have no idea when we'll die outside/inside the walls.'
"Well- I'm glad we met, too." Levi said, tiredly.
"Really?" You perk up as you hear his words.
"I'm not repeating myself."
You grin. "Thanks."
"But don't talk like that ever again. Don't talk as if you might die tomorrow."
Your eye twitched.
"Because I'll never let that happen."
