"You're so...cute!" You cooed, touching the brown mare's mane.

"C'mon, (Y/N)..."

You raised your head, completely annoyed.

"Tch, you brat. What are you doing?" Levi strode by, heading towards the barn.

"Come on."

You happily half-bounced, and half-walked over to Levi.

"Where are the horses?" You peered to your left. A white horse caught your eye.

"Wha- how pretty!!"

You had never seen white horses before, because they didn't use them. They weren't good at camouflaging.

But a hand wrapped around yours, and tugged you the other way.

"Where are you going? We're looking for our horses."

"B-but..." Looking down at your intertwined hands, your ears turned slightly pink.

Giving the horse one last glance, you sighed and followed Levi- who was practically dragging you, his hand still clutching yours.

You heard snickers behind you. Turning around, you glared at Eren with a pink-tinted face.

"Oh."

You whipped back around, and looked at Levi. He was still a few steps ahead of you, his eyes staring straight-ahead.

"You're from...the Survey Corps, correct?"

A nice-looking woman appeared inside the barn.

"You're here for your horses- correct?"

Nods came from the group.

"Follow me."

As everyone headed inside, you noticed all the dark horses.

You thought you had heard the sound of distant thuds- but you dismissed it when you remembered there were people outside- watching for Titans.

"Here."

You looked at the last seven- or so stalls.

"Right here, are all the finely bred-"

She was cut off, when the roof collapsed- and a huge thud was heard.

"Shit!" Stumbling away and removing your hand from Levi's, you froze when you saw the Titan.

Strangely enough, there was only one. Only one Titan.

"Where's the..." Your vision was violently shaking around. When you focused on the doorway, you ran towards it.

'Where are those people who were supposed to watch for Titans?!'

"We need to get on higher ground!"

You heard loud footsteps behind you, and the whizzing of lines.

You halted when you saw the pools of blood. And a leg. Instantly, you froze.

However, you snapped out of your strange daze when someone yelled your name.

Tuning around, you found the Titan attracted and stumbling towards the group of people standing on the other barn's roof.

Shooting a line, you whizzed out of the way, as he screamed and idiotically ran towards the other barn.

Grabbing a horse, you hopped on it, and raced off to check for more Titans.

'...only one?'

Puzzled, you could only halt your horse, and view the horizon in a state of confusion.

A scream rang through the air. You looked up at the man, who was trying to fight off the being.

"Where's the good people?!" You yelled to nobody particular.

And of course, there was no response.

Cursing under your breath, you rode towards the advancing Titan. But before you could move on, you halted when a fast figure kept ahead of you, and dug his or her blades into the Titan's neck.

The horse reared- after almost getting hit by a random meat chunk.

"Are you okay?"

You calmed down the horse, and warily looked at the hooded man. Or woman. His voice seemed familiar.

"Show yourself." You demanded.

"It's me, you brat." He took off his hood.

"Levi! Where the heck did you disappear off to?" You jumped off your horse.

"Never mind that. Just round up the men, and grab the horses."

You nodded, boarded your horse, and yelled, "come on- grab the mares and stallions! We need to leave unless you wish to be eaten!"

No more than a few seconds later, the sound of boots scraping against dirt was heard.

You watched them grab the horses reins, and head towards to where Levi was waiting.

Turning your horse to head their way, you hurriedly raced over. "Hurry," you urged.

"We need to get there before any other Titans come near."

As you and the others rode through the gates, you could hear the disgusted whispers among the people.

The people that seemed like they were minding their own business- the people who seemed harmless...really weren't.

Their words stabbed you like needles.

'So this is how it feels...'

You looked on with awe at all the ignorant people. The ignorant people just wandering around the square.

Some mothers clutched their children. As if you were going to steal them.

You searched for the bright-eyed kids. The kids who spoke in excited- yet hushed voices.

The kids who loved the Survey Corps. And the kids who wanted nothing more, than to join.

The kind of kid that you never were.
