"You want a what?"
"...A picnic. I want a picnic!"
"I thought you liked eating he-"
Your cheeks burned even more. "But I want a picnic."
___
"Well, are you happy now? We're going to start eating in the middle of a freaking tornado."
You glanced at your boyfriend; his expression weary and his hair blowing everywhere from the wind. You chuckled as he sneezed from the cold breeze. "More than happy."
"A tornado won't start, Jin, you worry too much."
"...you never know," he muttered, darkly, as he glanced upwards at the sky. "If a tornado starts, we're leaving. Screw the picnic."
"What?! Don't screw the picnic! We might not have a lot of food, but think of this as, um, quality time, since we never get any."
Jin heaved an exaggerated sigh as he glanced towards you. His pale eyes searched for something to say. "Sorry, I know I'm busy all the time."
You shook your head, your hair flying. The breeze didn't help, and only mussed it more. You drove a hand through your hair, trying to keep it under control.
"I'm happy simply being with you."
"Good. Don't ever get bored of me, okay?"
You laughed as you knelt on the fabric that was spread on the ground. "As if I could! I can't leave you for a second. You're too clumsy, worry too much, totally not brave-"
"Hey! I am so brave!" Jin defended himself, "what kind of coward would go on a picnic when there's a tornado starting?"
You nodded and picked up a small loaf of bread. "Whatever you say," you teased. "Coward."
"(Y/N)!"
"Wha-a-at?" Taking a bite of the hard-as-rock bread, your eyebrow shot up. "You're so mean to me, why are we dating?" Jin demanded.
"Because you love me a lot!" You claimed, placing a light peck on his lips. "Now, shut up and eat."
Jin threw his head back, and laughed, his cheeks tinted bright.
...it might've been from the sun, but then again, who would ever know except Jin, himself?
The wind died down gradually, as the two of you sat there, eating. Soon, you found yourself lying in Jin's loose embrace.
"Hey, when are we going to visit Hana again?" You asked, as you stared up at the clouds, trying to catch them moving like angels across the sky.
Jin made a humming noise. "You want to see Hana again?"
"And Lev!"
Your boyfriend laughed, "hey, as long as you won't go falling for him." He joked, smirking. You stared in amusement at Jin. "I don't know...this boyfriend of mine is a bit of a coward."
Jin swat your arm. "Don't joke around like that. I'm the bravest person you know."
"Actually, Lev might be."
"Hey!-"
He stopped talking, when you leaned up, and wrapped your arms around him. Your heart felt so blissful when you hugged him.
"Just...kidding." You whispered, your face hovering just inches away from his. The pale-eyed man's eyes were filled with love.
His breath warmed your skin, igniting it as if it was fire. From your endearing eyes, you watched him raise his head, feeling your gaze on him.
Jin's lips parted, and he spoke with a soft smile. "I know." His lips touched yours, barely even grazing your soft skin.
You sighed in content, relaxing in his arms. "I live for moments like this one."
"I'm sure we can have more in the future." Jin laughed. "Speaking of the future," you got up from his grasp, and faced him, "you can't be as busy."
Jin smiled, "I'll try my best."
"And I'll be there everyday to welcome you home."
"Okay."
"We can eat the stupid bread everyday."
"Okay."
"I won't force you to clean your room."
"Okay."
"A-and, I promise I'll always be there for you."
Jin's smile widened. "Okay. Then, you're sticking with me, huh?"
"...I suppose so."
"You're never leaving this coward behind."
"You admitted it, huh?" You asked.
"Might as well. I can't allow myself to keep this secret from you for such a long time, if we're going to be together."
You felt triumphant. "One more thing."
"Yeah?"
"I promise you everyday, I'll tell you how much I love you."
He was surprised. "Okay." He answered, faltering. "Okay." He repeated again, to himself, as if he wanted to make his voice stronger.
"God, I love you so much." Jin hung his head.
"Jin?"
He didn't respond. You flipped his hair back, wanting to see his eyes. Those beautiful, pale, strange eyes were filled with tears.
Jin leaned away from you, and his hair fell back to shroud his eyes. "What's wrong?" You asked, confused.
Your boyfriend didn't answer for a few seconds. He raised his head and his hair parted to show his eyes; still watery like the surface of a river. Teeming with tears.
"I just don't want to ever lose you."
Your shoulders sagged with relief. "That's what it was?" Your hand reached upwards, and touched his cheek; wiping his tears away.
"Don't cry..." You murmured, "I won't ever leave you. Not like them, okay? I promise."
"That's what they said, too."
"I'm not like them, Jin, you know that."
Jin took your hands in his, and brought them up to his face where he placed a kiss. "I know. I'm just scared."
"If you left me too, I-I don't know what I would do."
"I told you already, I'm not going anywhere."
"...okay, (Y/N). I trust you."
___
You woke with a start. Cold sweat surrounded you, and stuck the sheets to your bare skin. The pillow was slightly damp, but you couldn't be bothered with that now.
Staring across the room- tears, without your permission, slid down your face.
"God, I'm so sorry, Jin..."
