"Ugh, my mind is about to collapse." You complained, stretching against the desk. Levi stood in the doorway, quietly.

"If you had brought your paperwork over, perhaps you wouldn't have such a huge stack at your desk, here."

"Procrastination serves me well. What is even in here?" You demanded, turning around to face the Captain.

The Rivalle looked annoyed as he responded, "Hanji just wanted you to look over her studies."

You whipped back around to look at the pile of yellowed papers, the very top was crinkled and you really didn't want to look at them, now.

"I don't want to..."

"It's not a matter of which you desire- you'll do it, anyway."

"But why me..."

He smirked widely, that smirk that you hated so much; it was irritating, yet so mysterious and coy.

"Who else would I give it to?"

___

"Damn him to all hell," you muttered under your breath as your eyes scanned the last wrinkled paper.

Your eyes were starting to burn, and you guessed they were a bit red. It was a quiet afternoon; there weren't any echoes of people walking by.

After your tired eyes finished the last, messy written word, you leaned your head back against the hard chair, and your eyes fluttered shut.

Just a few minutes after you did so, however, your door opened violently, hitting the wall as it did. You jumped, and turned around. "Hanji is present!" The voice boomed, excitedly.

Your face relaxed, "oh, it's just you."

"Oh? Were you expecting someone?" Hanji blinks; fluttering her eyelashes.

"N-not really."

"You stuttered!"

"Did not!"

"Anyway," you coughed, "can I help you with something?" Hanji looked confused, "what did I come here for, again?"

'You idiot!'

"Oh yeah!" She grinned, widely. "The papers; may I see them?" The researcher pushed up her glasses, her eyes flashed.

You warily lifted the stack, and involuntarily dropped them in her waiting arms. "Also, you know about our research expedition coming up?" Hanji asked, suddenly.

"I do..."

"I think you should bring Eren to Utopia for a while."

"You do? Why...?"

"...you'll need to visit your dad, right? Isn't it best to kill two birds with one stone?" Hanji turned on her heel to march out the door, with her words.

"But of course, I'm just thinking out loud. We'll be leaving in a week, so make up your mind by then." She walked off, effortlessly carrying the heavy pile of paperwork in her arms.

'Utopia...is where Jin goes.'

You fell back into your chair after the door shut, rubbing your temples. You had just turned around, when the sound of the door banging open startled you.

"Hey! This room isn't just for you people to come and go!" You complained, loudly, turning around in rising annoyance.

Hana waited at the door, her eyebrow raised as she watched you fume. The person behind her shifted, "so this is her..."

You saw her hair color, before you actually saw her face.

It was red, like flames that surrounded and shaped her face. There wasn't a strand that appeared out of shape. It fell down past her chest, untied; stunning you.

There had never been a color so brilliant and crimson. It was as if the setting sun had pasted itself unto her.

Her skin was so pale, so fair, it was almost as if she had never been under the sun. You thought she was utterly bewitching, and then your eyes reached hers.

A small, whimper escaped you immediately, without your consent. Her eyes; steely, sharp, yet carried a faint sparkle of amusement. They looked with you like how a predator looks at its prey.

She stared through you with a sense of familiarity, and you weren't even sure how to begin to describe her eyes.

You hadn't even noticed, but goosebumps began to raise upon your arms.

She smiled, a seductive and charming upturn of her lips. "Aileen," she supplied, her eyes never straying far from yours.

"I'm (Y/N)..."
