"Girlfriend?" You looked her up and down, before smiling. "Congratulations, he's cheating on you." Aileen's figure calmly relaxed. "I believe I should've rephrased that better," she sighed.

"Let me try again," she suggested with a sudden smile. "I'm Ai, Jin's ex-girlfriend. And I want him back."

You nervously wrung your hands, "you want him back? You make it sound as if Jin and I are dating...which we're not, might I add."

Aileen leaned towards you, her eyes suddenly sparkling like a child's. "You mean, you still like him too?" There was something extremely uncomfortable with the way she had suddenly changed personalities.

"W-what? No, I-"

"If you still love him, then are we both fighting for him?"

"Wait, please, I-"

"I wonder how that would turn out?"

"I don't like Jin!"

The room fell silent, and Aileen slowly turned to look at you from her spot where she had moved to. "What do you mean?"

"I have a...I have a boyfriend." You stood firmly, tilting your head. "Jin...you're not dating him?" She asked, confused.

"No!"

The redhead spun on her heel, again. "What is this..." You could hear her mutter under her breath. "You are...Alvin's daughter, right?"

"Yes?"

"And you don't have a twin sister with the exact name as you and the exact features?" Aileen moved her hair out of her steel eyes.

"No, what is it with all these weird questions!?"

"I think you're exactly who I'm looking for." The stranger smiled, elegantly and gorgeously. "Ah, sorry, your throat must be absolutely parched from talking in such high volume."

"It's alright, I'm just glad we could get that issue over with..." You shook your head, watching her pull out a chair for you. At her gestures, you took a seat.

"Your father wanted me to bring some of your favorite beverage. He lives near me, and is a wonderful old man. Even though he is witty, he does not quit trying to grow his crops in that harsh weather." Aileen chuckled, retaining her kindness.

You watched as she pulled a canteen from her side, and offered it to you. "I have not drank any yet, so please feel free." She unfolded a piece of paper, "your father also wanted me to bring his note to you."

Sighing at her sweet hospitality, you took the note and canteen from her hands. "I'm surprised you did so much for him."

Aileen laughed, her hair fell to frame her face. "I owe him a lot." She watched, anticipating your reaction as you uncapped the canteen.

"Really? Well, then, thank you for whatever you have done for him." You took a sip, taking in the sweetness of the liquid. Warmth and familiarity flooded through your veins, causing goosebumps to raise.

Aileen nodded, "I think I should leave you here, I really need to go find Hana. Please do not forget to read the note," she walked to the door, her heels clicking. "Goodbye, (Y/N). It was a pleasure to meet you."

The sun had began to set, covering the halls with darkness. Levi sat on the neatly made bed, smoothing the creases with his hands.

"You know, you're only creating more creases by simply sitting on the bed, right?" You chuckled, and turned around in your chair to grin at him.

Your beloved smiled, pleasant. "I did, in fact, realize that."

"And yet, you continue."

Levi's face relaxed, as he tugged on his ruffled shirt. "I wasn't planning on sleeping, though, (Y/N)." You beamed at him, "please abandon that thought."

He raised an eyebrow.

"You never get any sleep at all..." You rose from the chair, closing the distance between you two. "Please...you should really sleep. It's not good for you, you know?"

Levi watched you stop in front of him. He watched as your hand pushed his shoulder, forcing him to move from his spot. His dark eyes watched as you crawled on the bed, relaxing.

"If I sleep, would you sleep with me?"

"...this is my room, go sleep in your own room."

"But then that wouldn't promise me your sleep." You argued.

Levi sighed, bringing a hand through his hair. "Seriously, just how childish are you?" In response, you stuck out your tongue at him.

A soft smile appeared after he watched you fuss about. "Fine." He placed a kiss upon your forehead, his cool fingers brushing your skin. "I'll bring you back to your room when you're asleep."

"...fine, at least rest with me."

The Corporal slowly eased his figure onto the bed, next to you. You could feel the heat radiating off his body, practically cutting your brain's circuits.

"It's not that easy to fall asleep, is it?" He asked.

Your hand searched for his as you answered, truthfully, "it's never been easy." Finally, interaction, your fingers linked through his. Levi sighed, "I'll make it easier for you, then."

"Please just talk to me."

"What would you like to know?"

"What did you do today, Levi? I haven't seen you all day."

The man next to you rolled on his side to face you. His hair swept across his forehead, surrendering to gravity. "You want to know simple things like that?"

"Honestly, yes."

"Today, I watched Eren train. I watched Erwin finish up some documents, and I sent someone to deliver letters. I ate lunch with Hanji, and I-"

Hearing his low, whispering voice was enough of a spell for your eyelids to begin feeling heavy. You heard him speak about how stupid Eren was, yet you couldn't give an answer.

Slowly, you felt yourself falling asleep.

You surrendered your consciousness.

'I wish I hadn't. For what I had woken up to something I wished a dozen times that was a dream.'

Under the slim surface of consciousness, you could feel your body swaying in an even tempo. Even though at times, you were jolted, you were just so tired.

Tired enough to not open your eyes. . .

What a mistake that would be.
