C. 24 | Hidden

The knock came again. "Levi?" Hana repeated.

Your eyes darted around the room, searching for a way out. You had opened the window and was about to jump out, when Levi sharply spoke.

"What are you doing?"

"Jumping." You hoisted yourself up on the windowsill. "I'll see you later?"

He looked at the door. Then, he looked back at you. "Why would you want to leave?" He asked, simply.

You nearly fell down at his simple gaze. "Because."

'Because Hana apparently hates my guts, but I don't want to tell you for various reasons?'

"It's not like I don't enjoy your company!" You hurriedly said.

"Levi? I'm coming in..."

Your eyes widened. "Oh shit." You looked behind you. 'That's a long fall...'

"Tch." Levi grabbed you by the arm, and pressed you against the wall behind the thick and long curtain.

You squeaked in surprise, causing him to give you a sharp glare. "Be quiet!" He murmured, in your ear.

You heard the door creak open. "Levi...?" Hana muttered.

You gulped when Levi moved even closer. His hands were placed on the wall by the side of your head, and his head was resting against the wall next to you.

'I'm internally screaming.'

You heard her coming closer, until...

"Hana!! Have you seen (Y/N)?!" Hanji's voice sounded far away.

Hana made an annoyed sound with the click of her tongue. "No, have you seen Levi?" She asked, rolling out of the room and shutting the door behind her.

"No! Say- do you think they're doing something together?"

'You have no idea, Hanji.' You let out the breath of air you had been holding.

Levi raised his head, and moved away. "She's gone." He commented, looking at the closed door.

"Seems like it." You managed, your ears burning.

"Do you have a fever?" He touched his hand to your forehead, making you jerk back in surprise.

'No, I don't think so...please get away!'

"Tch. You brat. You've over-worked yourself. Now you're creating even more work for me?"

You felt your forehead.

'Warm...'

"Levi. Seriously- I'm okay!" You protested, when you felt his cold hand on your forehead again.

"You've got a fever. How is that okay?" He asked, his eyebrow raised.

"I've gone through worse."

You said, your voice shaky as you pulled the covers up.

"Anyway." You said, faintly. "I think it's your fault, actually."

"You blame your fever on me, you brat?"

"Yeah..." You answered, faintly. Your eyes were beginning to close.

"After all...you're still sick." Your eyes fully closed, and you quietly lay there.

"Ha...I've been discovered, huh?"

When Levi said that, you smiled unconsciously in your sleep.
