[ "According to Hajime Isayama, Levi is the 'cute and stuttering' type when in love" ]

Escaping from Levi, you ran away from him and crashed into Asuka.

"Ack-!" You tumbled backwards, and found yourself falling. A strong arm reached out, and clasped your hand tightly.

He pulled you back up. "We meet again- this must be fate." He laughed. "Oh, are you alright?" Asuka asked, gently.

You opened your mouth to thank him. But before you could respond, a sharp movement tugged you away.

"W-wait, Levi, I didn't-"

You struggled under his arm as he had looped it around your neck, almost in a choke hold.

With an expressionless face, he stared at the man.

"L-Levi, I need-"

"Tch." He turned around, and walked off- with you still under his right arm.

"Levi! Air-!" You gasped, and wheezed. Finally, his arm fell to his side.

"You..." You tore away from him. "You could have killed me!"

Levi turned back to look at you. "But I didn't." The corners of his lips tugged up just faintly before disappearing.

With a sigh, you fell into step behind him.

"I still need to thank him..." You looked behind you, trying to spot Asuka through the crowd.

___

Hana greeted you at the gates with a strange expression. "Did it...go well?" She hesitantly asked.

Your hand brushed her shoulder as you stomped past her. "Asks the girl who put me in there."

She hurriedly turned on her wheelchair. "Wait, (Y/N), I just-"

But you just breezed past her, ignoring her attempts of apologizing.

Levi didn't look back at you. "Go easy on the kid." Your eyes narrowed. "She's the one that got me in jail."

"She was only trying to protect herself."

"You told me not to get into messes like today's!"

"And?"

"She got me into this mess!"

"Talk back again, you're on bathroom cleaning duty next week, too."

Your mouth snapped shut. After a few minutes, you muttered under your breath, "threatening your girlf-"

"What was that?"

"Nothing!" You squeaked.

•••

As you opened your bedroom door, you found yourself face-to-face with Levi. "Can I...help you?" You faintly questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"Are you mad?"

You shook your head. "No," answering truthfully, you found yourself staring into his dark eyes.

'I'm already used to it.'

His piercing gaze and stoic expression made you slightly uncomfortable.

"U-um, Levi...can I close the door now?" You asked, quietly.

"No. How was jail?"

Groaning inwardly, you forced a smile. "Like stereotypical ones. Dark, damp...musty."

You shivered upon remembering the spiders, rats and mice you had encountered. And the...interesting cell mates.

"Other then that, it was fine."

"The food?"

You tilted your head, "excuse me?"

"Brat, you're making me repeat myself. I'm asking you- did they feed you."

You tilted your head the other way, remembering the stale piece of bread. "Um...yeah." You nodded.

'I'm surprised they could afford bread for me. Gah, I was prepared to go hungry.'

Grimacing, you opened the door wider. "Just come in. It's awkward having you just stand there."

He stepped inside, and looked around your room.

With a light pink tinting your cheeks, you stuck you nose up. "It's not polite to stare..."

The intent look in his eyes didn't falter. "That guy..." He cleared his throat.

"Tch."

You, puzzled- waited for him to continue.

"That guy you were talking to earlier. That shrimp."

'Levi...you're shorter than him.'

"Oh, you mean Asuka?" You smiled. "It was nice of him to turn the court's opinions around. They seem to trust him quite a lot..."

"Yes, yes. All the bullshit and things."

"Levi!" You turned to him, shocked. "What's gotten into you?"

Now Levi was not one to just tell you his feelings. Instead, he shook his head. "Just don't make me go through that again."

You immediately grew confused at his quiet voice. "Lev...?"

He opened the door, and was about to leave when he looked you right in the eye, and said, "I started thinking what would happen if you were deemed guilty. That wouldn't be good- for me and you, both."

And with those words, he shut the door behind him.

___

After he left, you found yourself  staring, dumbfounded at the closed door.

Then, you took a few steps back and let yourself fall to the comfort of your bed.

"Mr. Bunny..." Your hand found your familiar animal, and clutched him closer to you.

"Lev..." You buried your face in his soft figure. "He's so complicated." Of course, the stuffed animal didn't respond.

A small smile appeared on your face, as you remembered the words he had spoken. "Was that supposed to be cute or something?" You mumbled, your face tinted a shade of corral.

Clutching Mr. Bunny to your chest, you let out a sigh. "Honestly...that wasn't cute at all." Suddenly swinging up, you stared out the window.

The darkness of the sky revealed that it was nearly nightfall. 'I hope Levi sleeps well, tonight.' You wished, tersely, as you left for the bathrooms.
