"How is it?"
You raised your head, surprised. "Asuka!" Your lips flowered into a smile as you looked up at the man with the lovely pale eyes.
"(Y/N)." He smiled back, delighted. "I'm surprised I found you here. What are you doing within Wall Sina? And on such a beautiful late afternoon?" He asked.
You set down the book you had been reading. "This..." You looked around at the beautiful flowers and fountain. "It's just..."
"Different?" He suggested.
You smiled, courteously. "Sure. Different. Besides- I can't read back at the headquarters." You grinned. "Levi would make sure I was busy with something else."
He laughed at the last part. "Who's Levi?"
You opened your mouth, slightly. "My, uh..."
"(Y/N)?" He peered down at you, somewhat confused. "My...boyfr- captain," you finished, faintly. Your face was glowing red.
He pulled back, a rather entertained expression graced his features. "Your captain?" He took a seat on the bench next to you.
"Or your boyfriend?" He spoke in a lowered voice, raising his eyebrows at you, his pale eyes widened, playfully.
You burned even brighter.
"Oh my, oh my!" He laughed a little. "A relationship between a captain and a member?" Asuka wagged his finger.
"Naughty, naughty."
You faced him, worried. "You're not going to tell anyone...are you?" He laughed. "As long as this is half-legal, I won't."
Breathing out a sigh of relief, you tucked your book under your arm. "So, uh...what are you doing out here?" You asked.
Asuka sighed, and pointed behind him.
As you leaned to your side to peek behind him, you noticed a very drunk-looking soldier. Sitting back upright, you gave him a wry smile.
"Your buddy there, uh..."
"Yeah," he sighed. "My friends don't know when to stop. They're not usually- well they are, but..."
You winced when you heard the sound of vomiting in the background. "Sorry, I should leave." Asuka laughed, looking embarrassed.
"I'll send him home, and...catch you later, sometime."
You smiled at this. "That'd be nice."
He rose, looking a bit dazed. You watched him walk backwards, his eyes still on you.
"Oh wait, watch out for-" Your eyes widened when he fell backwards, tripping over the small garden's bricks.
"...the bricks," you scrunched up your face, when you heard a soft thud. "Asuka! Are you-" You were about to get up and check with him, but a hand rose from the bushes.
"I'm okay!" A voice muttered, followed with a groan.
You watched him limp up, grab his friend's arm, and haul him away. Turning back, you laughed a little. Opening up your book, you continued reading.
The book's title flashed from the sunlight.
Amnesia: Causes and Cures
___
That night, you returned rather late. Asuka had found you a few hours later, and you two had stayed, chatting until it became dark.
You had forgotten how long it took you to ride back home from the lavished interior of Wall Sina.
Trying to keep as quiet as possible, you walked down the hallway. But as you drew near your room, you realized you could see a small stream of light from Levi's room.
While everyone else seemed to be asleep, Levi's room was the only one that still seemed to have it's light on.
Puzzled, you slowly opened the door and peered inside. There, Levi sat at his desk- inspecting and reading from a pile of documents.
"When did I give you permission to enter?" He raised his head, a calm look on his face. "(Y/N)."
At this, you quickly shut his door behind you. "L-lev, people are sleeping...I can't just knock and announce myself."
He rubbed his eyes, tiredly. "What are you doing- up so late at night?"
When you didn't answer, he gave you a look. "Don't tell me you were enjoying a long, sweet dump." He sneered. "Gross."
"Levi!"
"A shit that took about eleven hours is a shit to remember."
"That was unnecessary." You softly cleared your throat. "Anywa-"
"You have an interesting face...right now, that is."
You immediately took a step back, and covered your face with your hand. "What!? Levi!" You gave him a glare.
"You're face is extremely red."
"I-I-I-I don't need you to tell me that!"
"You look like Satan."
"Okay, now that's a bit too far-!"
"Now you're angry Satan."
"Levi!" You marched over, and was about to smack his head, when he reached out, and stopped your hand in mid-air.
"Hey, I-" You were cut off when Levi pulled you towards him, onto his lap.
Squirming uncomfortably, you tried to make yourself lighter.
"What are you doing?"
You slowly inched and relaxed in his embrace. "Am I heavy?"
"I know brats that are goddamn heavy."
You shrunk. "Does that mean 'no'?" Looking up, you met his eyes.
"You're not heavy."
You smiled briefly this exchange. Turning toward the table, your long fingers touched the white papers.
"What are these documents?" You asked, turning to look at him.
He rubbed his eyes. "Complaints, orders, and other worthless things."
"Lev..." You worriedly looked at him. "You should get some sleep."
He hovered above you- reading a white paper. "No. But you can go ahead."
'How many hours of sleep do you even get...?'
You sighed. "Taking care of your body is more important than these...stupid documents."
He gave you a look.
"I'll go over the documents," you got up, and shooed him to his bed.
"Just sleep."
He watched you, closely. "Thanks." He softly muttered, giving your hair a ruffle.
You turned, light blush covering your cheeks. "What was that?" You managed to say, cheekily.
Levi glared. "What was what?"
