You had a dream, that night.

"Don't."

It was the same scene, again. The picnic one. Lately, to straightforward, that scene had been playing over- and over in your head, as if it was on rewind.

Your smile dissipated as you turned to look at your lover. Your eyes journeyed from the middle of his torso, which you loved to lean against on hard days, to his shoulders. His broad shoulders which you loved to massage; hearing his glorious compliments made you happy.

From his shoulders, they jumped to his cheeks; soft pillows, to his eyes. Jin's beautiful, pale eyes. His gorgeous eyes that had the ability to emit a stony, cold stare.

"Don't...?" You grinned.

"What I meant to say- you probably shouldn't spend so much time with me. I...don't want you to end up like-"

___

"You ready?" Jin smiled, as you walked, leisurely, down the doorsteps. Waving goodbye to the nice man behind you, you swung yourself to the top of your steed.

"I'll take that as a yes," he chuckled, leading his away. Soon, the two of you were chatting as you both rode through the uneven streets.

Soon, the conversation took a sharp turn and drove into a ditch.

"Ah, we're almost there. You'll see Levi again," Jin turned towards you with a soft smile. "Isn't that great?"

No hint of malice in his voice. He wasn't venomous.

Jin was just a kind man.

A kind man who deserved you at your best. But only if you could surrender yourself to him...Feeling a new sense of guilt, you stared miserably at the moving ground.

"You're probably sad now, right?" Jin sighed softly, tangling his hands in his light hair. "I didn't mean for that to hint anything. Sorry."

"T-there's nothing to be sorry about," you muttered, feeling slightly sick. "I just wanted to say, um, these past weeks..."

"...they've been really fun," you mustered a smile and forced yourself to look over at him. "You've been really fun."

He beamed, almost like the sun, itself. "Really?"

"Yes, so thanks...for everything." As darkness fell upon you, you glanced up at the old building in which also served as the headquarters.

Jin watched you hop off your horse, lead it away, while glancing back and throwing a wave. His eyes averted from the scene, and he left; abruptly.

___

'Yes, this is it!'

You walked the rocky, stone road.

Sashayed through the scent-lingering lunch room.

Jumped and twirled through the halls that might've been very dusty once in it's lifetime.

Hummed all the way to your room.

You opened the door, and the well-lit, simple bedroom greeted you with kindness and familiarity. Mr. Bunny waited on your bed, it's ragged figure was welcoming to your eyes.

Diving onto the bed, the old bedpost creaked and groaned under the sudden weight of your body. You immediately sat up, when you heard your door open.

"Is privacy not a word in your dictionary?" You sighed, sitting up and facing Hange. She chuckled, "I thought you would have known that by now."

"You're back!" She grinned, "just in time for another experiment of mine! This time, I was thinking of having a human subject waiting in solitude for a good forty-two hours while doing nothing-"

"No, no I won't participate!"

"Oh, you won't?" She slightly wilted. "Well, it's still nice to have you back." Hange winked, pulling her glasses up to her forehead.

"I saw you practically dancing in the cafeteria," she smirked, "I wasn't sure who it was at first, but whoever it was, sure doesn't know how to dance."

"Why, you-! Hange!" You chased her out your room, growling playfully. "You're so mean!" You yelled at her retreating back.

"Who's making such a fuss?" Jean tiredly poked his head out of his room. When he saw you, he shrugged. "Oh, it's just you..."

"Just me!? Be more polite to your elders, okay!?" You chastised him, demanding that he stay put while you stormed over, and grabbed his ear.

"Ow, ow, ow," Jean muttered, as you pulled down on his earlobe. "Repeat after me, Kirstein." You calmly said, ignoring him.

"I promise I will be polite to (Y/N)!" You grinned.

"I promise I will be polite to (Y/N)..." Jean grumbled. "Good!" You said, happily, pleased as you freed his earlobe.

"...demon woman," Jean half-snickered as he hurried into his room and shut the door. You faced the wooden obstacle, glaring at it. "I heard that!"

Averting your eyes, you walked back down the halls. "Disrespectful kids."

You hadn't realized you had been walking around the entire hall, until Mikasa passed you for what seemed like the fifth time.

"Welcome back," she said, as she passed you.

She didn't stop or look back, but you gave a smile at her retreating silhouette. "Thanks. I'm back," you softly whispered.

'Dammit, that was too soft. Did she hear me? Should I say it again?'

'...but that'd be weird, right?'

You sighed, and knocked against the hard wooden door which belonged to your next-door neighbor. Nobody answered, which wasn't really unusual.

"Maybe he's in his office?" You pondered out loud, walking away to your next destination where you hoped you would find Levi, the Corporal.

Your, dare I say it, boyfriend.
