Falling asleep in your bed felt so very comforting. Especially after the fact that you had spent one night down in the dungeons.
In the bathroom, you hurriedly splashed water on your face and rubbed at the dirt. A familiar and sharp sensation stung you.
"(Y/N)?" A very quiet voice almost made you squeal in surprise and jump.
Looking in the mirror, you found yourself staring straight into Mikasa's eyes.
This time, you actually squealed and jumped. "M-mikasa!"
She was so close to you, you swore you could feel her breath on your shoulder.
"What are you doing?" She walked to the second sink.
You watched her, carefully. Her posture was perfect, her shoulders were thrown back, and at the same time- she looked completely at ease.
"I'm washing my face." You answered, sighing. "You scared me."
She looked at herself in the mirror. "Sorry." She said, before turning the faucet.
"How are you up so late?" You asked her, wiping away the dripping wet drops from your face.
She lifted her toothbrush into her mouth. "I felt like staying in."
You hurried over to her, your eyes wide. "Are you sick?!" Your hand probed at her cheeks. "Alright, who are you and what have you done with Mikasa!"
She stayed perfectly still, allowing you to stab at her cheeks. "I'm-" You poked her cheek. "Mikasa," she finished.
You took a step back, unsatisfied. All of a sudden, something big, black, and spindly fell on your shoulder.
Letting out a shrill scream, you tried to shake it off. A large spider stalked down your arm, causing you to freeze and whimper.
You heard giggles behind you. Turning around, you found yourself face-to-face with Sasha. "Sasha, get this monster off of me!" You wailed, flinging your arm around.
She ducked to avoid you, still laughing. "Only if you update us on the Levi-heichou and (Y/N) group!"
You cried. "Just get this thing off me!" Your wails became louder as the spider crawled up your arm- heading for your face.
"Okay, okay." She scooped up the spider, and dropped it on the floor. "Why would you do that?!" You wailed. "It could be heading to my room!"
She shrugged. "No way!"
After calming down a bit, you narrowed your eyes. "How did you know I hated spiders?" She grinned cheekily. "My source."
Mikasa marched over, and stomped her boot. "It's gone." You almost had tears welling up in your eyes from the spider.
You flew to her. "Mikasa!" You wailed, closing her into a hug. She stayed silent as you tightly wrapped your arms around her.
"Hey, (Y/N)! Mikasa!" Sasha demanded. "Hurry up and finish your bathroom business!"
Sticking out your tongue at Sasha, you reluctantly returned to the mirror. Tying up your long hair into a high-side bun, you let a few strands escape and tumble down your shoulders.
Your gear was safely stowed away in your room. Your dark eyes raised and stared at yourself in the mirror.
"Heeey, hurry up!" Sasha groaned, leaning against the door. "Actually, I was long done." You smirked.
She looked at you, and grinned. "Did you eat yet?" You shook your head. "I don't...really have an appetite."
Sasha whistled. "Wow, no appetite? That's a first." She grinned cheekily as your face turned red, and you gave her shin a tiny kick.
"Whatever," you mumbled.
"Update." Mikasa immediately grabbed your hands, and tugged you to your room. "U-um, I..." You quizzically looked up at them from your spot at the desk.
"What is there to talk about?" You asked, hesitantly.
"Levi-heichou." Sasha neared you, her breath smelling like soup. "Give us some dirt on Levi-heichou." Mikasa crept closer. "Dirt," she voiced.
You buried your face in your hands, muttering incoherent words. After a few silent moments, you felt a warm breath on your hands.
Lifting your hands up, you found yourself staring into Mikasa's eyes. She was too close for comfort. "W-augh!" With a scream, you jerked backwards, causing the chair to tip and fall to the ground.
A loud crash interrupted the silence in the hall. "(Y/N)?" Your door flew open. Levi stood in the doorway, his arms folded across his chest.
"What are you three doing?" His eyes narrowed. "Cadets, get to work," he ordered. Mikasa threw him a glare, but reluctantly got up, and followed Sasha out the door.
"Tch. Shitty brats," he drove a hand through his hair while breathing out, looking tired. "Don't just burst in like that," you helped yourself off the floor.
"And close the door." You pushed the chair back to it's rightful position. Levi kicked the door closed, earning a sigh from you. "Was that really necessary?"
He didn't respond, and just took a seat on your bed- his hands wrung together. You took a step towards him, your eyes narrowed.
"You're acting strange. What is it?"
His eyes flickered elsewhere. "It's...a nice day."
You tilted your head, and opened your mouth to speak, when- the sound of rain pattering against the window was heard.
You took a glance out the window. Indeed, a gentle rain was spilling down the windowsills. "Um, yes...it is pretty nice."
He tugged at his collar. "Yes, rain...the bastardized plants are getting their food."
Your bottom lip fell down a bit. "Uh, yes."
Levi wore an annoyed expression on his face. "What I mean is-"
You raised an eyebrow, nodding. "Go on."
"Where we are right now-," he tried again. "It's a very- I mean- would you-?"
You chuckled a little bit into your closed hand. 'Lev? Stuttering? This is a first.'
"Levi-heichou!"
You got up from your spot on the wooden floor after hearing a panicked Eren's voice. Opening the door, you peeked out.
"Eren?"
He quickly stopped running. "Is Levi-heichou there?!"
You quickly opened the door wider. Levi rose from the bed. "What?"
"Titans...breaching...Rose..." He breathed, coughing. You put a hand on Eren's warm back. "How many?" Levi asked.
"Not...sure yet." Eren coughed again. "Reports just came in."
"Didn't you seal that entrance..." You frowned. Eren could only nod.
'What about the Yarckel District...? Isn't that the district closest to the barrier?'
"Eren! Levi!" Hanji appeared from the corner, an excited expression on her face. "Come on!" You glanced up at her.
"How many soldiers do you need?" Your eyes narrowed. Levi's head snapped to you. "You're not coming."
You raised your head, looking at him in the eye. "Why not, I-"
"Are you two done?! Come on!" Eren recomposed himself, and he hurried away with Hanji behind him.
"Don't come." Levi's eyes stared straight into yours.
