Chapter 59

Valentina

The day had finally arrived that Danny and I were visiting all of the vendors. "I can't believe you were able to get all of these places scheduled in one day."

"Thanks to Natalia, she made some arrangements."

"Hello, you must be Valentina?"

"I am."

The woman smiled. "I am Lane. I'm a good friend of your sister's."

"Thank you so much for squeezing us in last minute."

"Of course! Follow me."

The place so far seemed very nice, but I could tell Danny was not a huge fan of it. After the tours of the two vendors, we finally arrived at the last one. "I really like this one already."

"The Allan House has a lot of good reviews."

"Our price per guest ranges between 300-500 dollars."

"I want to have the best place, so I think this is perfect already."

"Wonderful! How many guests are you planning on having?"

"100."

"Well, it will be slightly pricey, but if you have a higher budget, I can have a template for you."

Danny looked at me and smiled. "What do you think?"

"I really like it as well."

"It will take me a few days to put the template together, but if you guys have settled on the prices, decor, food and services, we should be all set."

"When is your nearest date?"

"We are typically fully booked. However, I have a cancellation for July 15th. I know it is four months away, but we can do all of the planning for you."

"Let us know the total and I can have a check written up for you."

"Sounds good."

"Thank you."

"We look forward to seeing you soon!"

After we left, it was almost 5. "Are you tired?"

"A little."

"Do you want to get some dinner?"

"What about the kids?"

"I texted your brother when we got here. He said he would watch them."

"Where were you thinking?"

"Simon's. I know it's not fancy, but they have good food."

"Sounds good to me."

Once we got to the bar and ordered our drinks and food, Danny placed his hand on mine. "Can I ask you something?"

"Yes."

"Do you want to have another child?"

"What?"

"Look, I know you have two already. But I want another one with you, Val."

"You would want to take the responsibility for a third child?"

"I really do. But I completely understand if you don't."

"I would have to think about it."

"I respect your decision if you don't want to."

"Are you sure?"

"Of course, babe. I promise it's okay."

"Alright. Again, I am sorry, but I don't think I am ready to even consider it."

"Well, I can't wait to marry you."

"Me too."

After we finished dinner, we went back home and got changed. "I know things went downhill with us, but I want to make it right." Danny whispered.

"I know. I can't fully forgive you, but I'll get there."
