Danny

That look on her face was always a weakness for me. I knew how bad she wanted me, but she acted like she didn't. It's something I always loved about her. "We aren't sleeping together."

"You say that now, but I know you'll change your mind within the next few months baby."

"Don't call me that."

"Why not? Because you know you have feelings for me?"

"I..."

"Actually, don't answer that because I know you do, Valentina. You can't lie to me, I know you too well."

"That's something you will never find out."

I smirked and picked Callie's toys off of the floor. "I'm going to put the kids to sleep for their afternoon nap. I will be back."

After the kids were all in bed, I went back downstairs and sat next to Valentina. "We can't do this, Danny."

Smirking, I slid my hand up her thigh and watched the small smirk on her face until she swatted my hand. "Danny..."

"Valentina, I love you and I always have."

"I don't believe that. You sure didn't seem to feel that way when you cheated on me."

"That is all in the rearview mirror now, Valentina. I am not focused on the past anymore, I am focused on my future with you and our kids."

"But..."

The moment my lips met hers, she didn't pull away as expected. I know she missed this.

"Danny..."

"Shh..."

As I slid her shorts down, she not surprisingly didn't object. "Danny, we shouldn't."

The moment I was inside her, I covered my hand over her mouth. "Yes, we should."

Valentina

I needed to stop him, but I couldn't. Each stroke felt amazing. I missed the feeling of him. "Danny..."

He cut me off with a kiss. "I am taking you upstairs."

He pulled out and buttoned my shorts back up. The moment we were in my bedroom, he shut the door and took every layer of clothing off of me until removing his clothing, exposing his erection. "God, I missed your body so much."

After he pinned my arms down and entered inside me, I couldn't stop him at this point. It felt too damn good to stop. "God..."

"Did you miss this?"

"V-very."

"Am I getting another chance?" He whispered. "It's been five months now."

"Danny, I..."

"Please, I need to fuck you every day again. I miss this so much."

"I don't know."

"You'll figure it out eventually, baby. You're worth the wait."

*** After Danny finished, I stood in the shower in a daze. I just allowed him to seduce me. I didn't know whether to regret it, or to be okay with it.

I know regardless that Micah and my family are going to be pissed. I can't trust him as far as I could throw him, but people can change. Maybe therapy really helped him, maybe he will change for good and be the father he originally promised to be.

"Would you like for me to stay the night with you?"

"I don't know."

"For old times sake, Valentina. Please, I miss being able to wake up next to you every morning."

"I don't know, I just..."

"You won't have to worry about falling asleep by yourself anymore."

"Okay."

I knew that allowing Danny back into my life was a risk but I deep down still loved him as stupid as it felt.

"I promise you won't regret this," Danny whispered in my ear. "I love you, Valentina."

"I can't say that right now."

"That's okay, I just wanted you to know that."

"A lot of damage has been done, Danny and it will take a long time if ever to slightly fix this."

"Well regardless of how long it takes, it is worth the wait. Or I should say, you are worth the wait."

After hours of talking, I fell asleep in his arms.

*** Two weeks later: After days of thinking, I had come to a conclusion. I knew that Micah and my family would be pissed at my decision but I had to do this for the kids: He is getting one very last chance and if he messes up once again, it is permanently over.
