“Discipline is the refining fire by which talent becomes ability.”  - Roy L. Smith

Greatness and discipline are not independent of each other, instead, they are inter-woven.

Greatness in life can only be achieved and cannot be simply gotten. Some people may tend to believe that greatness comes from hard work and luck. Yes! They are right. But, discipline is the base upon which these two are used to construct success. If this strong base is not seen, and you go on building an empire with hard work, talent and luck, it will not last long.

Life is a strange game, wherein, we humans, have absolutely no idea as to what might happen in the future. Disciplining the mind and the body too, lift us to heights that we can never possibly imagine and comprehend. Also, leading a disciplined life isn’t that easy. It requires constant and unwavering dedication and will. People who strive hard to remain in the path of goodwill and discipline will be able to lead a life that has meaning and filled with joy and positive energy. Acting like a disciplined person to the outside world, unfortunately cannot do any good.

First step of discipline is to remain true to yourself, no matter where you are and how you are.

Learning to mind one’s manners in public places; giving away love to everyone, even to those who cannot reciprocate the same; respecting elders; helping out people in need; not getting addicted to habits that aren’t sound for health, etc. are some of the seldom recognized character traits of people who are disciplined.

We become, from good to better, and get elevated to great as time goes on. Life may give a hard time for those who are good, but, greatness tastes sweet when the efforts and experiences are bitter.

We can always learn new things at any part of life, but, discipline is something that can only be nourished from a young age. So, we are born, not just to breathe and exist, but to live and cherish!

Discipline holds the key to unlock the doors to our soul. It helps us to connect with the supreme power of infinity. Mind and body becomes one, and the steps toward success and greatness stretch before us.
