“The way we experience the world around us is a direct reflection of the world within us.”

watching.”
– Satchel Paige
How many of us know that the money we earn is said to be well spent only when it is spent on experiences and not on things?
Money gives happiness to those who know deep-down that it is just a piece of decorated paper with which certain chores can be done. Running headlong behind money is not the real reason why we are brought into this world.
Money did not exist since the birth of mankind. It is something that was invented to ease trade and commerce in olden days.
Even those who were responsible for currency creation wouldn’t have anticipated that their future generation would become slaves for the notes.
Life was never meant to be a race. This illusion was inflicted upon us by various ambitious selfish organizations, and guess what? They have been very much successful so far.
Since our birth, everything has been defined to us for a competitive world: To be first in academics, sports, art, and what not.
Even when we start earning, do we stop comparing? Not really. We need more salary than someone we know who is getting a higher salary.
Without clear thinking, we want more and more.
First we buy a brand new mobile phone even when the old one works perfectly fine, simply for the sake of being in the trend, then we’d go for a bike, then a car, then a house, and, on and on it goes.
Have we ever stopped in our tracks and thought for a while as to why the human mind never feels satisfied with what it has in its nest?
If we are going in the right direction, then why do humans become more selfish day by day?
Why have they become self-centered and less caring?
Why have emotions become a silly joke?
Why does love become boring when one night stands are more enthralling?
The answer is that we are not going in the right direction. We cannot possibly dare to call this a progress. We were not meant to live a life so methodical and mechanical.
The real joys of life are almost always not found in materialistic possessions. There are many examples where even people earning really well cannot contemplate life and keep themselves peaceful and happy.
We might get misled by the thoughts that we should use our adolescent life for working, earning and saving till we age, so that we can live without burden in our old age.
Keep one thing fixed in mind. When one falls sick, money cannot stay beside and give hope. Friends and family can do that.
