“Expect problems and eat them for breakfast.”
– Alfred A. Montapert

“Climate is what we expect, weather is what we get.”
– Mark Twain

What are our usual expectations? We are entitled to get whatever we want in the way we want and at the time we want. Is it a right thing? How many articles have screamed about expectations and the way they impact our lives!

Almost every single time, expectations ruin our life. They are capable of barging in unannounced into our minds, and when the expectation is not fulfilled, we, lose all hope (temporarily maybe) that we have. We lose belief because, we wanted something to come our way, and it hasn’t. So, what we need is fewer expectations, from people, from life. Very few expectations mean very few results to be faced with (joy or disappointment). Do not try too much at a time and start expecting. Don’t expect the results too soon, either.

We are all humans, and we are all erroneous creatures. We may think that it is right for us to think that we deserve results after the inputs we’ve put in. the fact is that our power is only reaching up to a certain level which
is the effort and work that we do when we need something or someone.

The result, however is not definitely under our control. Several factors (external) are involved to get our goal to reach us (i.e.) to fulfill our
expectations.

Murphy’s law works almost every single time in order to make us realize that even the simplest form of expectation puts our peace of mind at risk.

We should learn to alter our perspective in this aspect of our thinking to lead a more satisfied life. Never expect the result; do not attach a part of your soul to anything, however small or big it may seem. Do what you need to do without any expectation. Put complete focus, dedication and most importantly love, into the effort and not on the effect. If possible, for those who are capable of controlling their expectations, here’s a new change you can bring into your mental state and thinking pattern, when it comes to expecting something.

Spoil your mind with bogus thrill when things go awry. Yes! Expect the unexpected.
Whenever you go outside, simply expect that it would be a harsh climate instead of praying for a moderate climate (it is brilliant if you just
don’t care and embrace whatever comes your way). You’ll soon realize that doing it is a stupid thing.

If expecting a negative outcome is as stupid as it sounds, then it is also the same when expecting a positively safe outcome, too.
Train your mind to see the best in any situation and in any person.

Don’t raise your expectation bar to an alarming level. Remember, not every expectation is stupid and bad. One has to choose the expectations that have higher probability of coming true.

Get excited instead of getting worried or frustrated when something doesn’t go as per plan. We are humans; we get bored with our routine life, routine people even though we may not accept this, as in contrary, we
always want a simple, happy and a normal life in the end.

Even when you get angered, irritated, those small things do not go according to the plan. Life is full of twists and turns like a really good, intriguing fiction novel – where you have absolutely no idea what the next page holds in store.

Isn’t it unorthodox to be expecting what the next event will be? How will it be interesting and fun-filled when you expect? Just live. Concentrate and focus all your energy on living positively.
