When I returned home I sat down and studied the book of jutsu's my father had left for me on the table. My father told me he should return from his mission tonight if it went according to plan. They always do and as I was finishing my study on the advantages and disadvantages of the shadow clone jutsu my father had entered the house.
"How'd it go?" He asked with his usual laid back voice
"Passed like you said I would" I replied setting down the book and standing up to greet my father respectfully.
"Did you eat the ramen I left for you?" He asked looking down at me to ruffle my medium length grey hair that looked so much like his.
"Yes I did there's still some left for you if you'd like, I can heat it up for you" I said moving over to the kitchen to reheat the ramen I had made for dinner.
"That be lovely. After that you should get some sleep because tomorrow you get placed in a squad and meet your squad leader right?" He asks as I watch the ramen to make sure it doesn't get to hot.
"Yes father" I smile as I bring him the bowl of ramen. "Goodnight"
I give him a hug before heading to my room and getting in bed for the night.

The next morning my father had left a note saying the Hokage had requested his presents and that he'd see me later. I took the note and put it in my ninja supply pack as I ran to the academy so I could find out who my new squad members were going to be. A ninja squad consist of normally 4 people unless the mission may require more. For us Genin, or first rank shinobi, it consist of 3 genin and a jonin, or 3rd rank ninja. The Jonin is the squads leader and their teacher. The ninja ranks in our village are; genin, the rank you get right out of the academy; chunin, a ninja achieves this by passing the chunin exams which are held twice a year in the village hidden in the leaf (my home town); jonin, which contain the most advance ninja in our village; anbu black ops, these ninja take care of the villages secrets and are more skilled then most off the jonin, if a ninja dies they must dispose of it to keep the villages secrets from outsiders; finally there is the Hokage which is the most powerful ninja in our village.
As I made my way into the class I saw Sakura and Ino fighting with each-other over who got to sit next to Sasuke. I rolled my eyes and made my way to a random seat over in the corner where I can read without being bothered. I kinda got my fathers habit of reading all the time but it keeps my mind alert. I watched all the girls fussing over something with Naruto and Sasuke. Wait a minute.. Naruto has a headband? Well I knew that he had it in him.
Iruka Sensei made his way into the room and said that he was gonna put us in squads so I started to listen but the first couple teams I didn't really know the people.
"Alright, Squad 7: Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha and Hitomi Hatake" Iruka Sensei read off of his clip board
I looked around and saw a bunch of disappointed faces and that Sasuke and Naruto were glaring at each other. Oh boy our instructor will have fun with this... I thought shaking my head a little.
"Squad 8: Shino Aburame, Kiba Inuzuka, and Hinata Hyuga" Iruka Sensei read off three more people I know.
I particularly like Hinata because she is very quiet like me. After that Sakura got put in squad 9 with two other random kids that I don't recall very well. I like her alright but she's too obsessed with Sasuke to do her any good.
"Finally, Squad 10, Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara and Choji Akimichi" Iruka Sensei said putting his clip board down "Now your instructors will meet you shortly and your training will begin, congratulations"
With that Iruka Sensei left and instructors started to get their groups and slowly it was left to me, Sasuke and Naruto waiting for our instructor. Naruto was getting fed up with waiting and put the eraser propped in the door. I stayed in the back just studying different jutsu from my book.
"That won't work on a jonin level instructor stupid" Sasuke spoke up for the first time with a small glare at Naruto.
"It's sad to say but he's got a point" I said softly before Naruto could fight Sasuke.
At that same moment I saw a hand go to open the door and a moment later the eraser came down onto none other then our jonin level instructor. Kakashi Hatake. My father.
