A week before the exam I had a a few new tricks up my sleeve and had strengthened the skills I already had.  I only wish I had more time to practice my Byakugan and Sharingan during these weeks leading up to the exam but I can't work on my Sharingan without my father and or Sasuke and they are still out on their training trip.  My Byakugan is also hard to practice without Neji but since I will be facing him that is off the list as well.  I've been doing my hardest to train my Sharingan and Byakugan the best by myself.  It's hard but not impossible.  Although I am without my father, Yamato is one of the best teachers I have ever had, he has taught me a bunch of new tricks.  One of my new tricks up my sleeve was the summoning jutsu, Yamato taught me how to summon panthers.  Although I have been training my butt off I am still really nervous about my match with Neji.  He is so much stronger then I am and he knows way more about the Byakugan then I do, although, I still have my Sharingan which he doesn't know that much about.

"How's that other wind style jutsu coming along Hitomi?"  Yamato calls to me as I was sitting in the field thinking about my match and playing with a leaf.

"It's very hard but I think I am getting the hand of it but I don't think I'll master it by my match" I sigh watching the leaves fly away in the wind.

"Just keep training and you'd be surprised what you can accomplish with a lot of hard work" Yamato said ruffling my hair.

"Yamato do you think I'll be able to beat Neji?" I said before quickly adding "Be honest"

"Neji is a tough opponent but don't let that fool you.  You two are evenly matched skill wise, but I have faith that you can keep calm and use those strategies of yours, but do not get too cocky." Yamato said smiling soundly down.

I nodded and he sat down next to me.

"If you just get this jutsu down then you will win for sure, as long as you do what we planned." He said handing me some water.

I nodded silently again before closing my eyes, relaxing and focusing on my chakra flow.  I heard Yamato get up and walk across the grass.

"I've got to go. I'll leave you here because I have another mission.  Good luck Hitomi, you can win.  I believe in you" He said as he started to make his way back towards the village.

"Wait! Yamato." I called after him standing up.

"Yes?" He replied stopping and turning around to look at me.

"You'll come and watch my fight right?" I said softly looking at him.

He gave me a soft smile and replied "Of course Hitomi, I wouldn't miss it for the world."

He ruffled my hair and gave me one last smile before running off to the village.  I sat back down before just beginning to rest up a bit.  Then I continued to practice.

After my practice, I made a bit of progress but not enough yet,  I started to wander around the village looking for something to do.  Eventually I saw Kiba and Hinata walking around.

"Why aren't you out training?" Kiba asked me as I walked over to them.

"Trainer left on a mission and my dad isn't back with Sasuke yet so I am not entirely sure how to keep training for today so I just want to rest for now" I yawn as I said this "Besides why aren't  you helping Shino?"

"He wanted some alone time.  Basically told us we were giving him a headache." Kiba said with a small shrug.

"Sounds about right" Kiba glared at me when I said that so I through my hands up in defense "I'm just kidding"

Hinata gives me a small smile before she asks Kiba if they could go back and help Shino.

"Alright Hinata.  We'll see you later Hitomi.  Good Luck" Kiba said before they ran off.

I waved and headed to my house.  This competition is going to be tough but I know I can do it if I keep training just as Yamato has taught me.  I just hope I can pull off this last jutsu.
