Chapter 33

The next two days were basically just me studying different earth style jutsu, training on my own in the forest and training grounds and walking around the town simply wandering in thought.  Today I was suppose to meet my instructor at my house so after eating breakfast I simply sat on the floor of the main room surrounded by my scrolls deep in thought.  As the day started dwindling by I begun to believe that my instructor was never planning on showing up.  As I stood up to go get lunch at a ramen shop there was a soft rapping upon my door.  

"Better late then never" I mumbled underneath my breathe as I walked to the front door.

Putting a smile on my face I opened my door to come face to face with a tall man dressed fully up in his ninja gear.

"Hello" I said stepping to the side to let him pass and enter my home.

"Hello Hitomi.  I am Yamato" He held his hand out to greet me which I took up and shook. "I think we should get right into the physical training since it seems like you've been studying all morning"

We decided to go to the training grounds so he could evaluate the jutsus I have already masters and some I am still working on.  When we arrived there Yamato set up underneath a tree while waited next to him.  He sat down and looked up to meet my eyes as if he was studying me.

"I think we should start with those 'leaf style' jutsus you have created for yourself" He said looking down at a blank scroll then up at me.

"Well Yamato-Sensei, they are actually very complex Earth Style Jutsu that are very similar o the Wood Release Kekkei Genkai but my chakra nature is Earth so it is far weaker then that of the wood release" I said explaining what my jutsus were to help him better understand what he was going to be seeing.

"Wood Release huh? Like this?" He smirked while wood blocks emerged from his hands..

"Wow so wait. Hold on. Are you related to the First Hokage then?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows because I thought all the First Hokage had no more living relatives.

"Well sort of but his DNA is in my body so I guess the answer is a yes"  He said as the wood began to retract.

"What do you mean sort of" I said suddenly more confused then I was originally.  

"That is a story for another time but for now lets continue with your training because we don't have much time left.  What do you say" He  said giving me a small knowing look that my father use to give me when I asked about his missions as a child.

I nodded motioning for him to move over a little so my jutsu could work better.  Since he was already sitting under the tree he didn't need to move too far over.  I closed my eyes and started to make my signs.

"Leaf Style: Hidden Trap Jutsu" I yelled watching the roots spring up to grab Yamato who quickly made the roots go away.

My response was to quickly move into my next jutsu so i began to make those signs.  

"Leaf Style: Hidden Wall Jutsu" I yelled letting the roots form a wall around me which I immediately followed with a dust clone and my military movement jutsu where I slid into the ground and traveled underneath the ground behind Yamato, I emerged just in time to see him break the wall and hit the dust clone which dispersed in his face.  I walked up behind him and tapped his shoulder.

"Cool Right?" I asked laughing softly.

"Very impressive Hitomi" He said laughing slightly as he wiped some dust off of himself "My job is to teach you new skills and how to strengthen your skills you already know so you are able to beat your opponents during the third exam."

I nodded and furrowed my eyebrows.  I began to think of my fight with Neji which would be immediately followed by my fight with Naruto... If i could even beat Neji.  

"Your fight against Neji will be no walk in the park so you better be prepared to train hard because I won't be going easy on you"  Yamato said patting my shoulder.

"My father said you were a tough one but then again so is he so I am ready and I will give it my all and win that fight." I smiled at Yamato and begun my first training session.

All I know is I will need to work really hard to beat Neji.  I can do this.  I really believe I can.
