Sharingan:Byakugan Combination

Chapter 37

"No way... It couldn't be.." Neji blurted out in disbelief staring at me.

But it can, I was staring at Neji with the Sharingan at full power in my left eye and the Byakugan in my right.  I could see everything around me including having the ability to copy and matched Neji's movements and jutsu.

"This is a legend. No one can activate two kekkei genkai's at the same time. No one in the world is strong enough to achieve something like this. It's unheard of!" Neji's voice wavered a little as he continued to stare at my eyes.

"Believe it Neji. Besides no one you know wields two kekkei genkais like myself." I smirked pushing myself up so I could stand face to face with him even though I am still a few inches shorter than him "Next time it may do you better to not be so cocky."

With those last few words I lunged at him and began to spar with him.  After sparing for the first few moments I could see the look of concern on Neji's face.  I was moving faster than before because I felt a new surge of strength burning through my body as if a whole new chakra was burning through me.  I managed to get behind him landing a hard hit directly between his shoulder blades which sent Neji flying forward towards the tree.  Neji's body hit the ground and right away began to push himself off the ground.  I quickly began to make my signs.

"Leaf Style: Hidden Trap Jutsu!" I yelled as I witnessed the roots grab the as many parts of Neji as they could get too.

Neji was trapped struggling against the roots but there was nothing he could do to escape.

"I'm sorry Neji but destiny is your own choice and it is not decided for you.  Make your own choices and live our own life I do not care what your family's destiny is.  I am the living example of a girl who escaped her supposed destiny.  I win Neji, you lose but thank you for helping me become strong enough to get here today." I lifted my hands to make my signs for my new Jutsu as Neji continued his struggle against the roots with blood dripping from his lip.  "Leaf Style: Nature's Song Jutsu!"

The wind around the stadium picked up and a soft melody seemed to be playing among the breeze.  The breeze put Neji into a dream like slumber forcing him into my genjutsu.  My new genjutsu traps my opponent in a dream state where their physical body is asleep and their mind is trapped in a dream.  The proctor walks over to inspect Neji before turning to the crowd.

"The winner is Hitomi Hatake!" He yelled as the stadium burst into cheers.

I walked over to Neji to release him from my genjutsu and the root trap.  Neji immediately collapsed to the ground.  I held out my hand to help him up.

"You fought a good match Neji, Thank you for fighting a good fight with me" I said with a smile playing on my lips.

"I am proud of you Hitomi" He smiled softly before leaving with a medic ninja to go get checked out.

I stood next to the proctor as he crossed Neji's name off the chart and moved my name up.

"Next match is Uzamaki Naruto and Hatake Hitomi" He said while I took these moments to catch my breath

I know I have roughly half of my chakra left maybe even less and I also know that some of my chakra points are still closed from my match with Neji.  This match with Naruto needs to go fast  or else there is no way I will be able to win.  One thing for sure is that I can not under estimate this boy.

At this point Naruto has arrived on the field and the proctor was putting away the match list in his pocket.

"I will beat you Hitomi!  Believe it!" Naruto yelled giving me a thumbs up.

"We'll see about that Naruto." I said turning to him with both my Sharingan and Byakugan activated.

"Those may help you but no matter what I will win." He yelled again seemingly louder 

"Enough you two, are you ready?" The instructor said looking between us.

Naruto nodded and I gave a small grunt as I shifted my weight which sent a aching pain through my collarbone.

"Do you wish to continue Hitomi?" The proctor asked me.

"It may be a disadvantage sir but I'll fight until I can fight no longer." I smirked with confidence.

He gave me a knowing nod because he knew my father well and her knew my father and I both shared a fighting spirit.  He took a step back before turning back to the crowd.

"The second match between Hitomi Hatake and Naruto Uzumaki will now begin!" He yelled out as the crowd erupted for into cheers.

Naruto immediately lunged at me and I easily deflected him with the gentle fist jutsu.  While I deflected his attack I sent my other hand directly into his chest sending him flying backwards.

"Be careful Naruto.. I can kill you, you know" I sighed softly when suddenly I was grabbed from behind by one of Naruto's clones.

Shit!! I made my signs and sunk into the ground so I popped up by the trees.  I do not have the chakra for this.  My body is throbbing and I could feel how weak I was.  This needs to end now or there is no way that I can win.

"Hitomi I know where you are.  You do not fool me." He said as he slowly made his way over to me.

"Are you stupid Naruto?" I yelled from behind the tree as I made my signs "Leaf Style: Hidden Trap jutsu!"

The roots grabbed Naruto and I could tell that he was trapped by using my Byakugan.  I made my way out of the trees and walked in front of Naruto.  I felt extremely weak but I intended to end this.  My body burned as I made my signs for my genjutsu.  As I made my signs I could here Mr. Hyuga, Hinata's father, yelling from the crowd telling me this was suicide.  I didn't care I was going to end this match and prove my strength.

"Leaf Style: Nature's -" But my words never finished.

A blood-curling scream erupted from somewhere in the darkness that flooded my vision.  What is happening? There's that scream again... Wait.... is that... me...?

(AU: Hey, thank you all for being patient.  I was finishing up my first year at college but since its summer I will attempt to publish more but no promises.  Quick reminder that due to a creative license I am making up jutsu but I am trying not to make them too op simple things.  I am done writing for tonight but I will try to get another chapter out next week.  Love you all <3)
