JIMIN POV
'How sure are you that this is the place?'
'Weak 80%. Which is a good 60. Great 40. And don't get me started on those 20%.'
The smack he got from Jungkook was hilarious, and it nearly took him off the sofa. It definitely dropped his laptop from his lap.
'Ow!!? Dickhead!'
'We don't have time to fuck around, kid.' Jin warns him
'When have I ever shown you something that I wasn't sure of?'
'You are never 100% sure.' I remind him
'And yet, I'm always right on the nose.' He grins proudly, and I wish I could slap that grin off his face, but the kid's right. He does send us to the right places.
'Okay. Start explaining before you end up unemployed and homeless.' Namjoon cut in
'I'll just hack and get money so I won't be homeless. And I can-' *whack* 'Ow!!!!'
Jungkook smacked him again, and for a good reason.
'Fine, fine. I live with a bunch of old grandpas. Lost their humour with age.' He muttered as he rubbed the back of his head, but he pulled himself together
'As I said I would do, I went through satelite images, and as Jimin said, nothing came up. So I dug deeper and looked for blind spots, which there are quite a few. But only one on the East got my attention.'
He shared his screen on the TV, pointing about like a forecast lady explaining the weather.
'This part here. Basically, this is the grid.'
He clicked something on his laptop, showing all these little lights glowing about, and then he did something else, erasing the bunch of them, leaving a sizeable spot empty and dark.
'And this is the network grid. Apparently no Internet, no connection, no cameras... not a thing in this area.'
'Okay, how the hell did we not see that before?' Hoseok asks. 'Purely curious.'
'If I was going to search for every blind spot in Seoul, it would take me months. We have a lot of abandoned places. Factories are also dodgy when it comes to signals. Bunkers. Old hospitals... So many old spots. And we didn't know where they were. For all we knew, they could have been in fucking Bangladesh.'
'Okay. Happy you got it. But... doesn't this seem a little... easy?' Tae asks, looking around. 'No offense. I'm simply worried. These are Widows we are talking about.'
'Well, either they overdid it on their protection, or they are drawing us in.' Gyumin shrugged
'I have a feeling it's the latter.' Jin sighed and leaned back, rubbing his face with his palms
'Same. But unfortunately, I don't think we have a choice. It's not like they'll come out if we ask them nicely.'
'Or maybe, for once, we get lucky and they are simply cocky. I mean, Ren worked for them for fuck knows how long. They might trust him a bit too much to keep their secrets and such.'
'Maybe we should try to get that Nolan guy first. Let's go through hotels and-'
'I might have his number.'
7 pairs of eyes stuck to me like arrows, all of them looking about ready to kill me. I honestly completely forgot that I took a phone from that June whore that tried to fuck me.
'I said might. So don't get your hopes up yet. Give me a moment.'
I rushed upstairs and found the phone that I took the other week. It was off and dead, which is not surprising. And a minute later, it was in Gyumin's hands, being connected to his laptop.
