They moved aside, while I pushed open the door and walked in, grabbing attention of every person in a 10 metre radius. About 50 heads turned to me, stopping whatever they were doing.
I quickly looked around, taking a lot better and a lot needed look. The place is something right out of a movie. It reminds me of a prison, with everything around me being made out of metal. The platforms, the stairscases on each side of the room, the rooms on the side which seem to be closed and with blinds pulled on. Throughtout the entire length of the room, there are dozens of 6 foot metal tables with 4 people stationed at each one, 2 on each side, and packing small glass boxes into bigger, cardboard ones.
Suddenly, a mass histeria ensued and most of the people started yelling, screaming, and running. It happened in a split second, and it actually startled me. I literally didn't even say a word to a single person, and they just went into crazy town.
As they ran like headless mice in all directions, knocking things down left and right, guards with weapons ran towards me, some stationed on platforms above me, some right in front me, and some on the sides. A quick glance and I counted 20 of them. Every single one with a weapon, and surrounding me.
'DROP YOUR WEAPON!' One screams at me, cocking his own gun
I thought I'd humour him and I raised my hands in surrender, fighting not to smirk at the idiocy. 'Sorry to disappoint, but I'm pretty sure I don't have a weapon in my hand.'
One of them shot a bullet next to me, only inches away from my foot, warning me that they're serious.
'No need for that, guys. I'm here in peace. If you tell me what I need to know. Point me to your boss, and I'll happily leave you all here.'
'Take him.' The same guy orders, and in the corner of my eye I can see 4 guys slowly closing in on me with their rifles up and ready to shoot me
'You realize I can kill all of you before you even come close, right?'
I don't wanna be cocky, but I'm fully aware of my capabilities and my restrictions. Everyone has a limit, me included. But killing a dozen guards is less work than feeding Hella.
And speaking of...
I heard growling behind me, and the soft tapping of claws making their way towards me. Her massive body showed up next to me, her head at the height of my hips. Those fangs she bore with a snarl were glistening with her saliva as her eyes looked all around.
Evident fear and surprise coloured their faces, and those 4 closing in on me slowly backed a step or two away.
Just to set a clear sign that she is here to rip them apart and not me, I crouched next to her, giving her a few scratches she loves so much. A lick or two comes with the price, but I figured it's better if she licked me now and not later when she's got someone's face in her mouth.
'So... we doing this or did you choose to live?' I look around, watching them ponder their decision
A guy on my left moved, by the looks of it taking a step back, but Hella heard it loud and clear and turned towards him, growling so loud her entire body was shivering, and the guy seemed about ready to shit himself.
At some point, I started enjoying taking Hella with me. Entertaining to say the least.
'Okay, okay.' The guy mumbled, slowly crouching and leaving his gun on the floor
'What are you doing?! Pick that up!' What I assume is their leader scolded him
'I'm sorry, but being ripped apart is not the way I want to go.' He shuddered, his eyes not leaving Hella
