I pressed into the handle just barely, feeling the tip scraping into my skin, and then nearly had a heart attack with the deep voice from the darkness behind the grave.

'I figured you'd come back here in the night.'

Come. The Fuck. On.

'Can you, please, just please, fuck off? Can I at least fucking die how I want to!?'

'Not on my watch.'

I watched a silhouette emerge from the darkness, creeping it's way closer. The moonlight slowly revealed the face behind the familiar voice, and a slight smile on his face which honestly looks creepy under these conditions.

'I didn't make this entire thing, decorating it nicely so you'd bleed on it. Find a different place to die.'

'Jin... I'm tired. Just... Leave.' I sank down deeper on my legs, drained by all of this

'I know you are. And you have definitely gone mad, talking to yourself like this. But it was entertaining in a way. Minus the creepy giggle. Maybe it's the night-'

'No, you don't. You have no idea how much it hurts. It's too much, Jin. Imagine if your only reason for living was gone. If your source of happiness got ripped away from your hands. Fizzled away in your arms. You can't-'

'But I do know. Better than you might think. Maybe even better than you.'

He took another few steps to me, and then sat down by her stone, facing me. He took a deep breath, and pulled his legs to himself, sitting down like he's here for a meal, not sitting at my wife's grave.

'Put the blade down. Sit.'

I didn't realize that I was still holding it there, so I slowly let go of it, falling down on the ground opposite him.

'How much do you know about why I became a mercenary?'

'You were in a human trafficking ring. Namjoon pulled you out.'

He scoffed lightly, nodding almost at the ground with a sad smile on his face.
'At least I know he never blabbered.'

He looked back up at me, talking in a more serious tone. 'What I'm about to tell you is something that no one else in this house knows except Namjoon and myself. I prefer not to talk about it, but I think you might find some help in it. Only if you want to hear it, that is.'

What else is there? He won't let me die. I can't sleep. I have nothing else to do. And if he wants to tell me something, it must be something big.

So I nodded at him, keeping my mouth closed to let him talk.

'Ever since I was a small child, my family ran this amazing business where they sold people, auctioning young girls into sex and slavery. Everyone knew my father. Everyone feared him. So did I. I wanted to run and change my name. I wanted to leave and tell people that I didn't have parents. It would have been the best outcome, but I was too young. I was only a teenager with no money to my name. And my father wanted me to take over his business. I never would have agreed to it. And my desire to run rapidly grew once I got to high school.'

He played with his own fingers, words slipping past his lips quietly as he kept explaining.

'I was only 14 when I met her. You could say it was a love at first sight.' He smiled to himself, but he didn't stop explaining. 'She was like no one I ever met before. Even as a kid, she was miles ahead in thinking to everyone else. She was smart and kind. And beautiful. Gosh... She was stunning.' He chuckled to himself

'I was in love with her from the moment we first spoke, but knowing what my family was, I kept myself aside from everyone and everything. Especially her. I never wanted to bring any harm her way, and I knew it would happen eventually. But she was quite like Rain in the department of being a stubborn ass.' He chuckled, looking over to Rain's stone. 'She knew about my family. She knew who they were just like everyone else did, and she didn't care.'
