I smiled reading through the comment section of the song I had posted on Instagram
"What are you smiling at like that ?" Sarah asked from beside me taking a peek on my phone "oh my god the song ?! I heard it it was so so good"
"Thanks"
"Do you think about going into music"
"I don't know, I'm not sure yet but like please don't tell anyone
"Of course not, pinky promise"
"Girls you can chat in your breaks not in my lesson please" I nodded slightly moving my phone I had hidden behind my book into my bag "alright now we're going to do this next assignment with a partner" I looked over at Sarah who nodded "now I see the looks you give each other through the room and I hate to disappoint you but I have already taken the liberty too put the groups together with this really cool website i found" the whole class let out annoyed groans, why do teachers always do that ? "Now if you could take a look up to see who you're going to be pairing up with" I read violently fast through the names scanning them until I found my own
Belle & Jason
"Oh you've got to be kidding me" I mutter silently
"What ? Who are you with ?"
"Jason"
"No way I'm so sorry"
"I'll say this beforehand to not answer everyone individually, no you can not switch partners, you are going to be in this school with these people for the next few years and you have to get along with everyone" I bit the inside of my cheek and looked through the room until my eyes caught Jason who was already looking at me, I rolled my eyes and looked back at our teacher who explained to assignment first before telling us to find our partners
"Hey, so partners huh ? Like old times" I didn't respond to him as he sat down next to me and put his book on the desk "alright not so talkative today are we ?"
"Don't try the Smalltalk Jason it's not gonna work"
"I would say we all split up into different rooms to give each others room to talk freely about their presentation without worrying of others overhearing" she talked a little longer splitting each group into different rooms and places
I put my things into my bag before reaching for my crutches
"Here let me help you-"
"I've got it" I stood up and pulled my backpack onto my back and taking the crutches firmly into my hands. We walked through the building slowly since our room was rather far away it took us a bit
"Wait Belle let me-"
"I don't need your help Jason. You have done more than enough already" I said annoyed by him as I walked up the stairs carefully
"I'm just trying to help"
"Well don't. I done want your help not do I need it. I'm perfectly fine on my own"
"Well too bad we have to do this together and we can't if you're gonna keep treating me like that" I stop and look at him for a second before I keep walking, we get into the room and I sit down on the first desk I find "so are you gonna talk to me ?"
"I will stalk about the assignment"
"Maybe we should talk the other thing out first, the..."
"The cheating on me with my best friend ? No thanks I'm good"
"Come on Belle it wasn't like that"
"Oh right. I forgot the spreading rumours and lies about me"
"Just hear me out please" I looked at him and back at my hands, I still couldn't believe he could do something like that "You were just gone so much and never there when I wanted to spend time with you"
"Excuse me ? Are you trying to blame this on me ? Do you know how many important things, meetings, events I missed to spend time with you ? I lost contact with so many of my friends because I spent so much time with you" he clenched his jaw looking down at the table, guess gaslighting me didn't work out for him
"I miss you Belle, I miss what we had" now I just looked at him in disbelief
"I thought you're with Valeria"
"Yeah but she isn't like you" he raised a hand to brush a piece of hair away but I slapped his hand away before he could touch me, I really hated Val but I still couldn't just sit back and let him betray her like that
"What she doesn't give you the fame and recognition I did ?"
"You know it was never like that"
"Do I know ? I don't know anything about our relationship, Jason. Nothing but that you cheated on me. I'm not even certain if it was real at some point"
"No of course it was. I really... loved you Belle"
"Guess love wasn't enough was it ?" For a second I thought it looked like he wanted to cry "just tell me Jason, when did it end ? When did you fall out of love ? How long have I been in a relationship that you had long left behind ?" I felt tears stinging in my eyes but I pushed them down, I wouldn't cry anymore. Not for him. Or maybe I would, just not in front of him
"Belle" he shook his head, tears sparkling in his eyes but I kept a firm expression "June"
Authors note: Alright so for reference for it to hurt more they dated end February till like mid December 😋 Also I officially don't have any parts already written anymore after posting this so I really need to get to writing more 😭
