"We should probably head back in, everyone's here for you after all"
"Yeah probably" he got up from the swing and held his hands out to pull me up, I rolled my eyes smiling but let him help me up
I wrapped my arms around him pulling him into a hug, feeling his arms around me too
"Thank you Walker" I couldn't even put the way I appreciated him into words, he was always there for me, literally. Even before we were born he couldn't leave me alone
"Let's go inside I want cake"
"Of course you do" I laughed pulling away from the hug, he kept an arm around my shoulder as we walked back inside, I sat on the floor watching Tanner and Micheal argue about something that I didn't quite catch

"I thought you knew that"
"How was I supposed to know ?"
"I don't know"
"Exactly"
"Wait where's my phone" I looked around trying to find it
"Kitchen" I got up and walked to the kitchen to find my phone dead, I groaned and looked at the stairs thinking about wether I should go all the way to my room to grab my charger or just forget about it, deciding on the first and going upstairs
I sat on my bed and unplugged the charger wanting to go downstairs when I heard some sound, I looked around my room to find it but didn't see anything unusual, I wanted to go downstairs but heard it again, it was coming from my window
I frowned a little but walked up to it looking outside into the darkness, I pulled the window open and was greeted by a stone thrown at me
"Ow"
"Sorry" my blood froze a little at the voice that I recognised all too well "I've been standing here for half an hour what took you so long"
"What do you want ?" She was quiet for a second before I heard her voice again
"Can you come out for a second ?"
"No"
"Please" it sounded like she had been crying, a lot. I didn't want to go outside, I didn't even really want to talk to her at all, but it was way past midnight and I couldn't put it in my conscience to leave her outside alone
I looked back into my room once before starting to climb out my window, I had climbed out my window to sit on the roof and look at the sky tons of times but I never snuck out before
"What are you doing"
"Just shut up" I hissed turning my head, the roof was low enough that I was able to jump and land on my feet without hurting myself, I turned around to face Valeria who was just standing there watching me "what do you want Val ?"
"I'm sorry Belle, I am so sorry for everything. I was a terrible friend to you and I hurt you and I'm so sorry for everything" I just watched her, a blank expression on my face I didn't know what to do with this, did I miss her ? Of course I did she had been my best friend for so many years and yes, the cheating wasn't only her fault that was on Jason but she was still my best friend, I couldn't not blame her for this. She heard me talking about how much I loved him and she heard me talking about how things got worse and he became more distant but all that didn't stop her from betraying me like that
"Val"
"Look, I know you don't want to talk to me and I get it, I really do because I was a really really shitty friend to you and you deserved so much better than what happened to you because you are just great and I didn't know about all the things that Jason did to you until recently-" that felt like pulling the stitches that had been very carefully placed and healed apart and this time I didn't even have Aryan to put them together "-if I had known all that I would've ended things a long time ago and I know you tried to warn me but I thought you were jealous that things were so good between us and now I know that you were really just looking out for me and I am so so sorry Belle, I am so sorry for everything" she was straight up crying while blabbering all this out to me
She came a step closer to me initiating a hug but I took a big step back because this was all a lot for me
"I'm so sorry" she repeated that over and over again the entire time and now that I looked at her more carefully she was wobbly on her feet and stumbling when she took steps "I miss you" she took another step towards me, falling right into my arms this time by tripping over her own feet, but with her so close to me I think I found out what she was doing for one out alone so late and two saying all this and acting so strange
"Val"
"I'm so sorry"
"Valeria"
"I'm so sorry Belle" I closed my eyes for a second to put my thoughts together, I reached for my phone but it was still dead in my room
"Valeria, Val listen to me, hey shut up and listen to me okay ?" She stopped the mumbling and looked at me, she looked terrible, I helped her sit down on the floor "Val just sit there and wait for me okay ? Wait right there I will be right back" she nodded quietly sniffling there while I looked for a way back up to my room
