Jaemin excitedly skipped to the table where Donghyuck was, placing a kiss on his cheek and surprising him. His jolly mood affected Donghyuck in a positive way, with a smile curling on his lips as he watched his boyfriend sit beside him.
Jisung and Chenle, the soulmates who became their close friends, followed through.
Donghyuck and Jisung shared a subtle smile—the choice of partners from the meeting was still daunting on their minds. It's a shame, really. They're a powerful duo.
"I heard you switched partners," Chenle chuckled. "Hyuck-hyung ended up with his mortal enemy."
"Is it wrong to be happy? I'm excited to be paired with Mark-hyung," Jisung said with an excited grin, earning an eyeroll from his supposed partner.
"It's perfect! I think it's the right time for the two to get along. I manifested it." Jaemin clapped with a wide smile.
Donghyuck scoffed. "You can't force us to get along, Na Jaemin."
"I won't force you, Lee Donghyuck. You two will do it naturally. I'm sure of it."
"Ehem," a female voice joined. "Can we join you? Yes, we can."
"Aeri," Jaemin clicked his tongue, watching the other two girls follow.
"Ohoi, you don't glare at me," Aeri said. "I heard a rumor."
"Sure, one-day-old."
"You don't get to be sassy at me, twin." She then looked at Donghyuck with a sheepish smile. "You and Baek Haeeun?"
"For someone who left home to dorm and always disappears to nowhere, you sure know a lot," Jaemin commented.
"Hep! Don't change the topic. So, Baek Haeeun?"
"Yes, Baek Haeeun." Donghyuck clicked his tongue. "I still have to schedule our practice."
"You will? Why not her?" Jimin asked.
"Apparently, she's free after dismissals every day and on Saturdays."
"And?" Yizhuo quipped.
"She said not to message her if not for debate."
"And?" Aeri quipped.
"You powerpuff girls are just here for a scoop, are you?" Jaemin interjected.
Aeri, Jimin, and Yizhuo nodded. Jaemin glared at them.
"Come on, don't act like we're not close. We're the F5 in high school," Jimin said.
"Not when you left me." Yizhuo puckered her lips and fluttered her eyes.
"Did you hate it so much when you were left with me?" Jisung asked.
"Yes!"
"Anyway, don't you think that this will bring us closer?" Jaemin said, then looked at his boyfriend. "Don't you?"
"I don't know, Nana. Haeeun is hard to talk to, you know."
