The sun shone brightly over the small campground, casting a cheerful glow on the clusters of tents. Haeeun squinted against the light, her heart racing with excitement. This summer, the throuple had decided to go camping—a spontaneous idea that had quickly turned into a weekend adventure.

They had one with their friends on the previous weeks, and yet the throuple felt like it was a need for them to go camping with just them three, so they immediately planned it out.

"Are you sure we have everything?" Donghyuck asked, checking the list on his phone for what felt like the hundredth time. His brow was furrowed in concentration.

"Relax, we've got the essentials," Haeeun reassured him, rolling her eyes playfully. "Tent, sleeping bags, snacks... what more do we need?"

Jaemin, who was sprawled on a picnic table fiddling with a marshmallow stick, looked up with a grin. "A proper campfire and a good story to scare Haeeun with tonight!"

"Ha! Not a chance!" Haeeun laughed, shaking her head. "I'm not falling for your spooky stories again!"

The trio set up their tent, the sun beating down as they wrestled with the fabric and poles. After a bit of clumsiness and a few playful shoves, they finally managed to get it standing upright.

"Victory!" Donghyuck declared, striking a pose in front of the tent.

"More like a struggle," Haeeun teased, brushing her hair out of her face. "But at least it's standing."

With the tent up, they settled into a rhythm of cooking hot dogs over the fire, cracking jokes, and roasting marshmallows for s'mores. The air was filled with the sweet aroma of melted chocolate and toasted marshmallows as they shared stories of their childhood camping trips.

"Remember when we tried to camp in my backyard?" Jaemin said, chuckling. "We ended up sleeping inside because we were terrified of the dark!"

Donghyuck laughed. "And you thought a squirrel was stalking us!"

Jaemin leaned in, eyes wide. "It was a serious threat!"

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the campsite transformed into a magical place filled with the sounds of chirping crickets and rustling leaves. They settled around the fire, the flames dancing in front of them, casting flickering shadows on their faces.

"Alright, time for spooky stories," Jaemin declared dramatically, his eyes sparkling. He leaned in closer, lowering his voice. "Once, there was a group of friends who went camping in the woods..."

Haeeun rolled her eyes but couldn't help but lean in as he continued, weaving a tale about a haunted campsite and strange noises in the night. As the story unfolded, she felt a mix of fear and exhilaration, glancing around at the dark trees surrounding them.

When Jaemin finished, Haeeun pretended to shiver. "Okay, that was actually kind of scary."

Donghyuck laughed, tossing a twig into the fire. "You're just too easy to scare, Haeeun!"

Just as she was about to retort, a loud crack echoed through the trees. They all froze, eyes wide.
