The holiday passed like a whirlwind for the throuple. After that surprising meeting with the other family, Haeeun seemed a little distant to the two. Luckily, the boys successfully lifted her spirits once again when they brought her to their favorite lakeside, where they spent the whole day enjoying the view and the crisp autumn breeze.

When they opened their eyes to greet the new day, classes started again. There're a million reasons to get annoyed, and one of them is the upcoming exams to be held before the Christmas break starts.

Students crowded the cafeteria like a thousand ants. There's little to no space to sit on, and there's no freedom to walk around. The humidity was off too, and the sun was unknowingly at its peak. The drastic change in weather had caused a lot of distress for most.

"Gosh, stop clinging to me," Haeeun said for the thousandth time.

"I'm not clinging," Jaemin replied at least the same number of times. In fact, he's not really clinging. The little space that they have is causing their skin to hit the others.

"Scoot over here, Jaem," Donghyuck said.

"There's no space!" Jaemin whined.

"Jaemin, move your arm!" Haeeun exclaimed.

Donghyuck sighed. He flickered his eyes back and forth to his soulmates, and all he could see was Haeeun's crumpled face and Jaemin's apologetic eyes. At this point, these two will start fighting again at any time.

"Alright. Why don't we finish our foods fast so that we can get out of here and cool our heads down in the Lover's Corner?"

Indeed, Donghyuck's suggestion is the best. The throuple sat on the bench under the big shade of a tree, sipping their own yogurt drinks.

Jaemin and Haeeun easily got along again, and they are now talking without annoyance or apologies.

The same thing happened the next day. The heat index lowered by a small percent, but it still caused a lot of mood changes. Jaemin and Haeeun would argue most of the time, and then Donghyuck would think of something for them to do to escape a bigger fight.

Haeeun's daily arguments with her mom don't help. After two days of hearing the same shit, Haeeun decided to crash into the Kim's house for inner peace. There, she shared all her sentiments with Minjeong and Yerim, which lessened the heavy feeling in her chest.

It's also a good thing to be with her cousins rather than isolate herself in her room and inhale the smoky air from hitting too many cigarettes.

"Did your mom bother you again?" Jaemin asked as they walked hand-in-hand to where Donghyuck's class is.

"No, I blocked her. I should've done that a long time ago," Haeeun answered with a light hum in her tone. "By the way, Mark and Yerim are expecting their third anniversary as soulmates, and Yerim wants me to help prepare for it."

"Really? Wow, time flies fast. Is it a surprise for Mark-hyung?"

"Kind of. I'm sure Mark will have his own surprise for her, too."

"I'm excited for ours."

Haeeun looked up to him with surprised eyes. "Our anniversary?"
