As the weeks melted into months, Donghyuck, Haeeun, and Jaemin navigated the high-stakes world of review centers with a blend of anxiety and determination. Each day brought them closer to the national board exams, a looming shadow that both motivated and terrified them. The challenges were significant, but so were the small victories, and each one became a stepping stone in their journey.

The warm spring sun filtered through the windows of their cramped apartment as Donghyuck flipped through his notes, trying to focus on the intricate details of therapeutic techniques. His brow furrowed in concentration, and he glanced at the clock, mentally calculating how much time he had left to review before he had to meet Haeeun and Jaemin.

"Okay, one more section, then I'm done," he murmured to himself, flipping to a page about cognitive behavioral therapy. The theory was starting to make sense, but the pressure to memorize everything felt like a weight on his chest.

Just then, Haeeun burst through the door, a wide grin plastered on her face. "You guys, you won't believe what just happened!"

Donghyuck looked up, momentarily distracted from his studies. "What is it? Did you win the lottery or something?"

"Even better!" she exclaimed, dropping her bag on the couch. "We just got our scores back from the first practice exam!"

Jaemin entered right behind her, his face glowing with excitement. "And guess what? I passed! I actually passed!"

"What?" Donghyuck felt his heart skip a beat. "Are you serious?"

"Yeah!" Jaemin laughed, pulling out his phone to show them the results. "I scored way higher than I thought I would! This means I'm actually getting better at this!"

Haeeun's excitement was infectious. "I got a good score, too! Not as high as Jaemin, but still solid. I think we're starting to find our rhythm!" She bounced on the balls of her feet, her happiness lighting up the room.

"That's amazing!" Donghyuck jumped up, adrenaline rushing through him. "We should celebrate! We've been working so hard, and this is a huge milestone!"

Jaemin nodded vigorously, still grinning from ear to ear. "Let's go out for dinner! Somewhere nice, to mark the occasion."

Haeeun raised an eyebrow playfully. "Nice? You mean, not our usual ramen place?"

"Exactly!" Donghyuck said, already searching for restaurants on his phone. "Let's treat ourselves. How about that new Italian place that just opened up?"

"Pasta and pizza? Count me in!" Haeeun clapped her hands, the idea thrilling her.

As they finalized their plans, a wave of relief washed over Donghyuck. The pressure they had felt was still there, but this small victory served as a reminder that they were making progress. Together, they left the apartment, their spirits high.

The Italian restaurant was bustling with energy, the warm ambiance inviting and vibrant. They were seated at a cozy booth in the corner, the aroma of freshly baked bread wafting through the air. The trio wasted no time in ordering an array of dishes—pasta, pizza, and a large salad to share.

As they waited for their food, they reflected on their journey so far.

"I can't believe how much we've all improved," Jaemin said, leaning back in his chair. "I was so nervous going into that first practice exam, and now it feels like we've actually got this."
