Haeeun stood in the middle of their cozy living room, hands on her hips, surveying the chaos around her. Empty snack wrappers littered the coffee table, and the couch was a jumble of pillows and blankets.
"Okay, can someone explain why it looks like a tornado hit this place?" she called out, trying to stifle a grin.
From the kitchen, Donghyuck peeked out, a mischievous smile on his face. "I thought it was a hurricane! They say variety is the spice of life, right?"
"Yeah, and it looks like the spice rack exploded!" Haeeun shot back, shaking her head.
Jaemin wandered in, a towel draped around his shoulders. "What's the fuss about? I just got back from the gym! I'm allowed to be a little messy." He flashed her a grin, clearly enjoying the banter.
"Messy? More like a disaster zone," Haeeun teased, pointing to a pile of clothes that seemed to have sprouted on the floor. "Seriously, how do you two live like this?"
Jaemin leaned against the doorframe, crossing his arms. "It's called a lived-in look, sweetheart. Very trendy right now."
"Trendy or not, it's going to be the death of me," she replied with a mock sigh, rolling her eyes. "I can't focus on my research paper with this mess everywhere."
Donghyuck perked up. "Okay, okay, let's have a clean-up party! We can blast some music, make it fun. How about it?"
Jaemin raised an eyebrow. "And by clean-up party, you mean you'll sit on the couch and watch us clean, right?"
"Absolutely!" Donghyuck laughed, winking at Haeeun. "But I'll supervise! Very important job."
"Right, because we definitely need a supervisor while we do all the work," Haeeun said, crossing her arms with a smirk. "But fine, I'll settle for that as long as the couch is cleaned up too."
With a reluctant nod, the three of them got to work. Donghyuck picked up the stray clothes, tossing them into the laundry basket, while Jaemin grabbed the snacks and tossed them into the trash bag.
"Hey, I was saving that half-eaten bag of chips!" Donghyuck protested, reaching for the trash bag.
"Saved for what? A snack contest?" Haeeun shot back, laughing. "I think it's time to let it go."
"You guys are heartless!" Donghyuck lamented, dramatically clutching his chest. "I can't believe you would throw away my cherished snack!"
Haeeun shook her head, chuckling as she picked up the remote and tossed it onto the coffee table. "Alright, Mr. Snack King, let's get this place in shape so we can enjoy our evening."
Once the room was tidied up, they collapsed onto the couch, breathing heavily from their effort. Jaemin reached for the remote and turned on their favorite variety show, the familiar sounds filling the space.
"See? Much better!" Haeeun said, sinking into the cushions, feeling a wave of satisfaction wash over her. "Now we can actually relax."
"Or watch Donghyuck attempt to dance and fail miserably," Jaemin added with a grin.
"Hey! I'm a phenomenal dancer!" Donghyuck declared, puffing out his chest. "You should see my moves!"
