The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm golden hue over the city as Jaemin sat on the balcony of their apartment, sipping a cup of coffee. It was a bittersweet moment; the relief of passing his exams had quickly morphed into the weight of reality. The decisions that lay ahead felt monumental. He took a deep breath, allowing the cool breeze to wash over him as he contemplated his future.

His mind raced with thoughts of medical school. Ever since he could remember, he had wanted to become a pediatrician, someone who could make a difference in the lives of children and their families. But as he sat there, the echo of his soulmates' voices played in his mind, reminding him of the challenges they all faced.

"It's time to get practical," he muttered to himself.

Downstairs, he could hear Haeeun and Donghyuck in the living room, their voices filled with excitement and anticipation. They had all celebrated the end of their exams together, but now they were embarking on their separate journeys, each one stepping into the unknown. Jaemin's heart ached at the thought of leaving his soulmates behind, but he knew he needed to focus on his future.

Later that evening, as they gathered in the living room, the air was filled with a mix of nervous energy and determination.

"Okay, everyone, what's the plan?" Donghyuck asked, leaning back against the couch with his legs crossed. The confident glint in his eyes was unmistakable. He had always been the one to chase after what he wanted without hesitation.

"I'm applying to law school," he later declared, his voice steady. "I've been thinking about it for a while, and now that we've passed, I think it's time to go for it."

"Law school? Wow, that's big!" Haeeun exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with admiration. "You'll be amazing at it, Hyuck."

"Thanks! I just feel like I need to start making moves now. It's time to hit the ground running."

Jaemin nodded, feeling a mixture of pride and apprehension. Donghyuck had always been driven, but Jaemin couldn't shake the feeling that he was moving too fast. "That's awesome, Hyuckie. You've always had that passion for justice and fighting for what's right."

"Yeah, but what about you, Jaem? What are you thinking?" Donghyuck asked, turning the spotlight onto him.

Jaemin hesitated. The words felt heavy in his throat. "I've decided to work for a bit before going to medical school," he finally said, watching Donghyuck and Haeeun's expressions shift. "I need to save some money first. Med school is expensive, and I don't want to burden my family with the costs."

"Are you sure that's what you want?" Haeeun asked, her brow furrowed with concern. "You've dreamed of being a pediatrician forever."

"I know," Jaemin replied, his voice steady. "But it's a long road, and I want to be sure I can handle it without financial stress. Plus, working in a hospital could give me some valuable experience."

Haeeun smiled, her support unwavering. "You've thought this through, haven't you? That sounds like a smart move. And you'll get to help kids even before you become a doctor!"

"Exactly," Jaemin said, feeling a surge of confidence. "And I can still volunteer at clinics on the weekends."

"Then you're already on the right track," Donghyuck agreed. "We'll make it through this, one way or another."
