October is fast approaching, as is Literary Week. Club organizations are actively preparing for their own booth specials with the help by their club advisers.
October is drawing near, so as Baek Haeeun's birthday. The 9th is always a normal day– except for the exaggerated birthday song by her cousins, it'll just be another 24 hours to pass. This year would be different though. Haeeun doesn't know how to describe it, but it's somehow thrilling and exciting.
The last week of September just includes exams. Donghyuck and Haeeun agreed to not meet for practice since the past week for them focus on studying. Donghyuck and Jaemin studied together as usual, while Haeeun is with Minjeong at times.
The three would still see each other on campus, and the sight of them gathering was not a hot topic anymore. Sometimes, they get questions like how they got along, or how Donghyuck and Haeeun ended up in the same place without ripping each other's throat.
Anyway, it's a bit better now that students doesn't grill them with such questions anymore. Maybe one glare from Haeeun is enough. Even so, students knew that the debaters were partners for this year's competition. They just assume that the two set their pride aside for the sake of the debate.
Currently, Haeeun just finished answering the exams from one of their major subjects. She texted Minjeong who's still in the classroom, informing her that she will just wait in the cafeteria.
Entering, Haeeun is immediately greeted with a crowd of students filling the tables. She desperately searched for a vacant space, enduring the growls of her tummy and the light pain of her head.
When she did, she jogged to the direction but someone suddenly gripped her wrist, making her turn to face who it is.
It was Donghyuck, one hand carrying the tray, and the other on hers.
"Are you here to eat?" he asks
Haeeun nodded, just staring directly at him. She felt him dropping their contact, then he nudged his head to the side.
"Jaemin's there. You can sit with us if you want."
Again, Haeeun just nodded. So does he want me to sit with them, or is he just offering?
For a smart girl like you, use your brain for once. She somehow heard the devil whispering on her left ear.
Haeeun shrugged, then flashed a small smile to the male. Do you have multiple personalities now? Do you need to put your degree into good use now?
God she felt crazy all of the sudden.
"Okay, I'll go." she just said, then let the male lead the way.
When Jaemin's eyes landed on the two, his smile doubled in happiness. He watched as the two took a seat, then looked at the girl when he saw her massaging her temples.
"Are you okay?"
Haeeun instantly dropped her hand and looked at him. "Uhh yeah?"
