The countdown to graduation felt both thrilling and surreal for Donghyuck, Haeeun, and Jaemin. Every morning now came with an undercurrent of urgency as they balanced their final projects, internship demands, and the growing anticipation of a future they'd long been working toward.

They were meeting in the library, their usual study haven, each of them immersed in the necessary grind to complete the last of their graduation requirements. Donghyuck was typing furiously at his laptop, editing his final report on urban planning and policy changes he'd helped implement during his City Hall internship. Jaemin was nestled between stacks of files, double-checking each detail in the medical case studies he'd been assigned. Haeeun, meanwhile, had a thick packet in front of her, filled with notes on therapeutic strategies and group therapy plans.

"Almost there," Jaemin murmured, adjusting his glasses as he looked over at Donghyuck, who seemed lost in a particularly dense paragraph.

"Almost," Donghyuck muttered, exasperated. "Except I can't get this one part to sound smart enough. I swear, I know what I'm saying, but translating it into academic lingo is an entirely different beast."

"Why don't you let Nana look at it?" Haeeun suggested with a grin, nudging Jaemin. "He's got that 'academia' charm."

"Please," Jaemin groaned. "Just because I talk like a med school robot half the time doesn't mean I know how to make city council minutes sound good."

Donghyuck grinned, appreciating the distraction. "Right, right. I forgot the resident angel here has limits."

At that, Jaemin chuckled. "Says the guy who charmed his way into every council member's good graces. They probably think you're the only intern keeping that place sane."

Haeeun shook her head with a smile. "Honestly, the charm you two radiate is unnatural. I'll stick to my witchy roots, thank you very much."

As they worked on in companionable silence, a few classmates from Haeeun's psychology program came by, making their way toward her with curious glances and mischievous smirks. One of the girls, Sera, leaned over Haeeun's desk, eyeing her packet with faux amazement.

"Wow, Haeeun," Sera started with a teasing lilt, "I've never seen you look so... I don't know, soft?"

A couple of the others laughed, and Haeeun raised an eyebrow, instantly catching the insinuation.

"Yeah," another chimed in. "You've got this glowy, dreamy look these days. Like you're floating through life, not scaring the life out of us. What happened to the fierce Haeeun who ruled the psych department?"

"Wait, hold up," Sera said dramatically, clutching her chest in mock surprise. "Is our Haeeun... in love?"

Haeeun rolled her eyes, but there was a hint of amusement there too. "Oh, you're hilarious," she replied dryly, feigning disinterest. "Maybe I'm just finally at peace, knowing I'll be free from all of you in a few weeks."

"Sure, Haeeun," Sera laughed. "But if you ever want a job as a love guru, let us know! You're a walking 'before and after' now."

The teasing started to grate on her. She liked her classmates, but they had a way of pushing her buttons. And maybe they weren't entirely wrong—she'd softened a little lately, thanks to the close bond she'd built with Donghyuck and Jaemin. Yet she'd be damned if she let anyone believe she'd gone soft entirely.
