Sapphire's POV:

The two days of training following our victory over Brighton were crucial for maintaining our momentum. With the coaching staff emphasising the importance of consistency and focus, every session was approached with a steely determination.

Personally, I felt a renewed sense of confidence after our win, and I was eager to build on that momentum. The training ground buzzed with intensity as we drilled tirelessly, fine-tuning our tactics and sharpening our skills in preparation for our next challenge: Aston Villa.

As the match against Aston Villa loomed closer, anticipation hung heavy in the air. We knew that they would pose a formidable challenge, but we were determined to carry our winning streak forward. With each passing day, the excitement and nerves mounted, but we remained resolute in our determination to secure another victory.

Match day arrived, and as I stepped onto the pitch, I could feel the familiar surge of adrenaline coursing through my veins. The atmosphere crackled with anticipation as Tottenham and Aston Villa locked horns in what promised to be a thrilling encounter.

From the outset, it was clear that this would be a closely contested battle. Aston Villa proved to be formidable opponents, testing our defence with their pace and precision. But we refused to be deterred, fighting tooth and nail for every inch of the pitch.

Midway through the first half, an opportunity presented itself, and I seized it with both hands. As the ball found its way to me on the edge of the box, instinct took over, and I unleashed a powerful strike that sailed past the goalkeeper and into the back of the net. The roar of the crowd was deafening as my teammates swarmed around me in celebration.

Buoyed by my goal, Tottenham continued to press forward, determined to extend our lead. Aston Villa fought valiantly, but we held firm, repelling their attacks with composure and resolve.

In the dying minutes of the game, Tottenham delivered the knockout blow, adding two more goals to our tally and securing a convincing 4-2 victory. The final whistle blew, and as we celebrated another hard-fought win, I couldn't help but feel a swell of pride. We had faced adversity head-on and emerged triumphant, proving once again that we were a force to be reckoned with in the Women's Super league.

The next three days with Grace before she left for the Lionesses camp and Celin for the Norway camp were filled with bittersweet moments. As teammates, friends, and confidantes, we knew that our time together would be short-lived before we each embarked on our respective national team duties.

On the first day, Grace and I decided to make the most of our time together by exploring the vibrant streets of London. We wandered through bustling markets, sampled exotic foods, and revelled in the eclectic energy of the city. Amidst the laughter and chatter, there was an unspoken understanding that these moments would be cherished memories to hold onto during our time apart.

The following day, we opted for a more laid-back approach, spending the afternoon lounging in the comfort of our shared apartment. With cups of steaming tea in hand, we reminisced about our favourite moments on the pitch, sharing stories of triumphs and challenges alike. It was a time for reflection and gratitude, a chance to acknowledge the bond that united us as teammates and friends.

As the third day dawned, the impending separation loomed over us like a shadow. We knew that our time together was drawing to a close, yet we refused to let sadness overshadow the moments we had left. Instead, we seized the day with an impromptu training session, fine-tuning our skills and revelling in the camaraderie that had become our hallmark on the pitch.

In the evening, we gathered with our teammates for a farewell dinner, a bittersweet occasion filled with laughter, hugs, and well-wishes. As we raised our glasses in a toast to friendship and camaraderie, there was a tangible sense of gratitude for the memories we had shared and the adventures that lay ahead.

As Grace and Celin bid us farewell the following morning, there were tears and hugs aplenty, but also an underlying sense of excitement for the opportunities that awaited them. As they departed for their respective national team camps, I couldn't help but feel a swell of pride knowing that my teammates were representing both Tottenham and their countries on the international stage.

Though separated by miles and obligations, the bond forged on the pitch and nurtured off it would remain unbreakable. And as I watched them disappear into the distance, I knew that our paths would cross again soon, united in our shared love for the beautiful game.

The next 10 days without Grace felt strangely empty. Her absence on and off the pitch left a void that was hard to ignore. As I trained with my Tottenham teammates who, like me, weren't selected for the national teams, I couldn't help but miss her presence, her laughter, and her unwavering support.

Watching the Lionesses play without Grace was a bittersweet experience. On one hand, I was incredibly proud of her for representing her country at the highest level. But on the other hand, I couldn't shake the feeling of longing to be out there on the field with her, wearing the Three Lions crest on our chests side by side.

Despite the distance, I made sure to tune in to every Lionesses game, cheering Grace on from afar as she showcased her talent and determination on the international stage. Her performances were nothing short of inspiring, reminding me of the incredible teammate and friend she was.

In between Lionesses matches, I also kept a close eye on Celin as she represented Norway. It was fascinating to see her compete against some of the best players in the world, her skill and tenacity shining through with each match. Although we were rivals on the international stage, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride knowing that one of my Tottenham teammates was out there, giving her all for her country.

As I trained with my Tottenham teammates during this period, we pushed each other to new heights, determined to make the most of our time together on the training ground. While we may not have been representing our respective national teams, we were united in our commitment to improving as individuals and as a team.

Even in Grace and Celin's absence, their influence was palpable. Their dedication to their craft served as a constant source of motivation for me and the rest of the squad. And as we continued to train and prepare for our next match, I couldn't help but look forward to the day when we would all be reunited on the pitch, ready to conquer whatever challenges lay ahead, together as teammates and friends.
