Sapphire's POV:

The next morning, as sunlight filtered through the curtains, I found myself sitting across from Grace at the breakfast table, sipping on a cup of coffee as we recounted the events of the previous night's party. Amidst the laughter and reminiscing, one particular moment stood out – Alessia's playful declaration about dating me if circumstances were different.

I couldn't help but share the anecdote with Grace, a bemused smile tugging at the corners of my lips as I recounted Alessia's words. "So, apparently, if Alessia and I lived closer to each other, she'd be open to dating me," I said, my tone laced with amusement.

Grace's eyebrows shot up in surprise, her expression a mix of amusement and curiosity. "Really? That's unexpected," she remarked, her eyes twinkling with amusement.

I nodded, the absurdity of the situation not lost on me. "Yeah, it was definitely unexpected," I admitted, shaking my head at the sheer randomness of it all. "But I guess stranger things have happened."

We both chuckled at the thought, the absurdity of the situation adding a touch of levity to our morning conversation. Despite the unexpected twist, there was a warmth in knowing that even amidst the chaos and unpredictability of life, there were moments of connection and camaraderie that bound us together.

As we finished our breakfast and prepared to face the day ahead, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the friendships that enriched my life.

Time skip to 3 days before Christmas Eve to the end of New Years Eve:

Saying goodbye to Grace, my roommate and best friend, was never easy. As I packed my bags and prepared to leave London behind for a few weeks, a pang of sadness tugged at my heart. We had shared so many memories together over the past year, and the thought of being apart for the holidays filled me with a bittersweet longing.

But amidst the sadness, there was a glimmer of excitement. I was heading back to Liverpool to spend Christmas Eve to New Year's Eve with my family – a much-needed reunion after weeks apart. The prospect of being surrounded by my loved ones, of sharing in the warmth and joy of the holiday season, filled me with a sense of anticipation.

As I stepped off the train in Liverpool, I was greeted by the familiar sights and sounds of home. The air was crisp with the promise of winter, and the streets were adorned with twinkling lights and festive decorations. It felt good to be back, to return to the place where I had grown up and forged so many cherished memories.

Over the coming days, I revelled in the simple pleasures of family life. From lazy mornings spent curled up by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa to lively gatherings filled with laughter and conversation, each moment was a precious reminder of the bonds that tie us together.

I spent Christmas Eve baking cookies with my brothers, the kitchen filled with the sweet scent of cinnamon and sugar. Christmas Day was a whirlwind of excitement and joy as we exchanged gifts and indulged in a feast fit for kings. And as New Year's Eve approached, we gathered together to reflect on the year gone by, sharing our hopes and dreams for the future.

Throughout it all, my dad was a steady presence, his love and support a constant source of strength. Whether we were engaged in a spirited game of football in the backyard or simply sitting together in quiet companionship, his presence filled me with a sense of comfort and belonging.

As the final moments of the year slipped away and the clock struck midnight on New Year's Eve, I found myself surrounded by my family, their smiles illuminated by the soft glow of fireworks overhead. At that moment, as we welcomed the dawn of a new year together, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the love and laughter that filled my life – and for the knowledge that, no matter where the future might lead, I would always have my family by my side.

Saying goodbye to my family on New Year's Day was always tinged with a hint of sadness. As we hugged tightly and exchanged heartfelt farewells, I felt a pang of longing for the warmth and familiarity of home. But as I boarded the train back to North London, there was also a sense of excitement building within me – a longing to reunite with Grace, my confidante and companion.

The journey back to London was filled with anticipation, each passing mile bringing me closer to the familiar streets of North London. And as I stepped off the train and made my way to our apartment, a smile tugged at the corners of my lips. It felt good to be back, to return to the place where Grace and I had shared so many memories together.

As I opened the door to our apartment, I was greeted by the comforting sight of Grace's smiling face. In that moment, any lingering traces of sadness melted away, replaced by a sense of joy and contentment. We spent the next week catching up on each other's lives, sharing stories and laughter late into the night.

From lazy mornings spent lounging around in our pyjamas to impromptu outings exploring the vibrant streets of London, each day was a cherished reminder of the bond that united us. And as we prepared to return to training, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the friendship that had sustained me through the highs and lows of the past year.

As we headed back to training, I knew that the challenges that lay ahead would be daunting. But with Grace by my side, I felt ready to face whatever the future might hold. Together, we would weather the storms and celebrate the victories, knowing that no matter where life might take us, our friendship would always be a constant source of strength and support.
