(Things were winding down and everyone moved to the living room. Noah was playing with Elliot's grandsons doing a puzzle. Olivia and Elliot were on the loveseat while Kathleen and Maureen fixed the women a glass of wine.)

Bernie: Dinner was lovely dear.

Elliot: Hey that was all Liv.

Bernie: I know, I was talking to Olivia.

Olivia: Oh thank you Bernie but it really wasn't no trouble.

Bernie: (looks her over) Something is different about you dear.

(Olivia gives El a side glance before she turns back to his mom.)

Olivia: I'm just really happy that's all.

Bernie: Yes that's it.

Kathleen: OK, here is the wine ladies.

Dickie: I'll get us a beer, Dad.

Eli: Get me one too Richie.

Elliot: You're funny.

Eli: What dad I'm seventeen.

Elliot: Yep, and still a minor. Get your brother some juice or water.

Eli: (rolls his eyes) I'm not a little kid anymore Dad.

Dad: Didn't say you were but you will not drink under my roof at seventeen. Now, let's get down to the real reason you all are here tonight.

Kathleen: You're not going back to UC are you?

(All his kids look at him waiting for an answer.)

Elliot: No, I'm not going to UC ever again. I will be home more unless I'm needed at work.

Lizzie: So what's the big news, Dad?

Maureen: Oh my god you and Livia are getting married?

Kathleen: What wait?

(Olivia starts to sweat wishing she could take a big sip of her wine.)

Elliot: No Liv and I have not discussed that yet.

Dickie: Please tell me you didn't knock her up.

(You can hear a pin drop as time passes as his kids sit in total silence. Not getting an answer to reaction from their father or Olivia they knew the answer.)

Bernie: Ohhhhh this is wonderful. That is why you're glowing so much, it's not just you being happy you're pregnant. How could I have missed the signs, I'm really getting old.

Kathleen: Wow Dad really.

Dickie: Ughhh man that's disgusting to even think about it.

Lizzie: Why are you thinking about it backward?

Dickie: (makes a face) Dad is fifty years old and Livia is still young of course but....

Elliot: Watch what you say, son.

Maureen: This is just great Dad. My kids are going to have an uncle or aunt younger than them.

Eli: Wait, so you can still be out here making babies and I can't have a beer.

Elliot: No!

Eli: Just one dad, plus this cause for a celebration.

Kathleen: Livia you are so quiet.
