━『  Not good enough 』

At last, we made it to the towering gates of Konoha, following a warm reception in my towering village. First stop: the hospital. Kakashi had fared worse after Guy's ecstatic sprint across the desert. As soon as we reached the village, we rushed him into a room, where he was shortly settled, quite pale and tired, into his bed.

Sakura, Naruto, and I stayed beside Kakashi's bedside. The room was was in-filled with the beeping of soft medical monitors. Naruto paced restlessly; Sakura fidgeted with her hands, her eyes always staying on Kakashi's face.

Trying to get a peak under that blanket to see his face.

It was soon after when Tsunade, the Fifth Hokage herself, entered the room, her presence garnering attention. Sakura straightened up, about to speak, but I felt that I could not wait any longer.

"Lady Tsunade," stepping forward before Sakura could engage her, I said. "I need to discuss some private matters with you."

Tsunade's eyebrows arched a bit in confusion. "Sure," she said, her accommodating tone laced with surprise. "Let's step outside.

We carried on to Tsunade's office, the air heavy with the seriousness of what we had to discuss. She leant against her desk, her hands upon the polished oak as she crossed one ankle over the other. Her expression was curious.

"What is it you need?" was what Tsunade asked, brisk. "Sakura has got something to tell me as well so, if you could, please make it short."

"I need the supply of the next month," I said in a pleading tone.

She frowned, trying to understand. "I gave you a new set of pills just for this month two weeks ago. Why do you need the next batch already? You don't need any more—"

"Just give them to me," I snapped, the desperation slipping into my voice. Suspicion now etching her narrowed eyes, she threw me the next container of pills.

As I caught the container, I squinted to read the label. Same ingredients as always. The frustration boiled over, and my teeth gritted with annoyance. "Are you even trying?" I mumbled, almost more to myself than to her.

Tsunade sighed in the manner she usually did when she knew something was about to—. "I'm trying as hard as I—"

"Well, you clearly aren't trying hard enough!" I bit out. I threw the medication to the side so that the vials were rattling on the ground. She gasped in shock, watching me, and the room went silent from the tension.

"Misaki!" she barked, the sharpness of her reprimand in her voice.

"They already suspect me! Everyone is aware that something is wrong!" I fired back, and my voice trembled with frustration. "And Naruto. I can see it; he's worried about me!"
