“Alright then. There will be a welcome party tonight. After this, I will bring you guys to the dormitories and show you around the campus along the way. Year 2 students will help to look after you guys, so make sure to listen to what they say. If you have anything that you don’t understand, ask your senpai. Lessons will start from tomorrow. Make sure to not be late for your classes. All you need to bring are writing utensils. That’s all. Any question?”

There was no question asked, and so the homeroom session ended. Hugan led them out to show around the campus.

“Razé-chan!” Folia immediately rushed towards Razé. Other than the two of them, there were no other commoner in the class. So, there was no doubt that she was being relied on.

Folia: “You’re a scholarship student? Sugoi[1]! I was really surprised.”

Razé: “Your specialty healing magic surprised me too. My teleportation skill was very ordinary. I’m so jealous of you.”

“Not at all! You are the first person I’ve ever met whose specialty is movement magic. There are many types of magic, and I think each and every one of them are all great,” Folia said and smiled. Her face looked like a young and pure angel. And her voice sounded like a bell, it was very comfortable listening to her talk.

“You’re right. Thanks,” said Razé frankly while looking at the charm (a tool or accessory with magic stones) on Folia’s arm. The bracelet-type charm was adorned with a white magic stone. Using a stone that matched the attributes of one’s specialty would improve the quality of their magic. Razé felt it was a good choice.

Razé: “Cute charm.”

Folia: “Thanks. Yours is the pierced-earrings? Isn’t it scary to get a piercing?”

Razé: “Huh? The piercing was done using magic, it was fine. I prefer earring because I won’t lose it.”

Raze’s earrings were embedded with stone that was neatly cut. The pierced earrings were magically fastened, so it won’t fall off even if she bounced around. This was not a fashion accessory; it was something made by the military. It was no exaggeration to say that it was for combat use. It was totally different compared to the charms used by the aristocrats which has high quality design.

However, the size of a magic stone was not proportional to the strength of the magical power contained within it. What was important was the strength of the monster itself and whether the core part of the harvested magic stone could be carved out well. The magic stone that Razé wore was harvested by herself and was processed by an excellent friend in the military. So even if it was small, it was powerful enough.

If the person who wore the charm couldn’t bring out the power of the magic stone, then it was just a pebble. Needless to say, her skill in utilizing magic stone was top notch. Well, it was not something that can be confirmed with just a simple glance. So, nobody would realize how powerful Razé was.

Hugan: “This is the training ground. The clock tower over there is the teachers’ building. Don’t go there if there is no emergency. There is a flower garden in the east. But be careful because you will get scolded if you mess the ground.”

Once they went out of the corridor, they saw a huge field. It seemed that this was the training ground. And on the other side, there was a tower with a clock at the top. Its gothic architecture with detailed design was beautiful. The teachers lived inside the campus too, so that was an important private space.

I should go take a look at the flower garden next time, thought Razé.

Folia: “The campus is very spacious.”
