"is this a bad time to tell you i'm scared of the dark, and small spaces?" she said, eyes squeezed shut, desperate to forget where she was.
which was impossible since cabinet was so small that her arms were pushed up against the sides, and she could feel Rons breath.
"your alright, it'll just be a moment." he assured her, still breathing heavy from running.
"mhm," she hummed with a nod, unsure.
Ron watched her face, eyes squeezed so hard together they were crinkled, hair falling into her face as she lowered her head, so dark that he could just barely see her.
"hey," he whispered, grabbing her hands awkwardly, in an attempt to comfort her.
Ron had never been very good with emotions, he didn't know how to express his feelings, and he found it hard to pick up on what other people were feeling. but over the years he'd gotten better at comforting people, having practice with Hermione and Harry.
Audrey felt her hands being taking in, and opened her eyes, looking up at Ron, "it'll be okay," he said softly, lightly rubbing his thumb over her hand.
Audrey could feel the heat rising to her face, and a feeling deep in her stomach where she wasn't sure if she was gonna smile or puke.
she had forgotten where she was, forgotten how scared she was.
suddenly the doors swung open, letting the light in.
they're heads flew to the side, eyes falling upon the twins.the twins eyes fixated on they're hands, and body language, Fred raised an eyebrow as he looked at Audrey.
"well, well, well," George said, "what do we have here?"
Audrey let go of Ron's hands quickly, before speed walking away, brushing against Fred's shoulder as she fled
Audrey made it back to her empty dorm rather quickly, flinging off her shoes, before flopping into her bed, and drifting off to sleep, Ron on her mind.
***
Fred and George followed Audrey to the great hall, asking her questions about Ron relentlessly.
"what were you two doing in the cabinet?" Fred asked, "hiding from snape," she explained, walking quickly.
"why were you holding hands?" George asked, his pace quickening.
"because i was scared," she sighed, a bit embarrassed.
"why was your face so red?" Fred teased, pushing her over the edge. "because it was!" Audrey exclaimed, stopping dead in her tracks and turning to the two boys. "now, if you two are done pestering me, i'm going to lunch!"
and with that she stormed off, leaving the twin's mesmerized, and a bit scared.
Audrey walked quickly to the great hall, unable to figure out what she was feeling, her and Ron were friends, so why was she so mad?
she made her way to the Ravenclaw table, "hey, Audrey!" Cho said, calling her towards her.
Audrey and Cho had never been very close, they shared a house, and had a few classes together, but never had much of a reason to talk.
"hey, cho right?" Audrey said, she knew her name, but didn't want to seem like a stalker.
she sat down next to her as cho nodded, "how are you?" cho said politely, smiling softly at Audrey.
"i'm doing alright, thank you." she smiled, "how are you?"
"just peachy," she said honestly, "would you help me study tonight?"
"sure," Audrey shrugged, she had nothing better to do. "okay, common room at six?" Audrey nodded in response.
Audrey ate in silence, thinking about the events of the day, what's going on with Ron? why are the twins so annoying? and what could cho possibly want?
it was no secret that cho got good grades, why did she need Audrey's help?
***
Audrey and cho sat in the common room, flipping through pages of their books and asking each other for help once in a while.
"so, you like quidditch?" cho asked, hoping to make small talk.
"yes," Audrey said quickly, very rarely speaking about quidditch with anyone. "planning on trying out this year, you?" she asked.
"oh yes," cho laughed dryly, "every year."
"perhaps we could practice together?" Audrey suggested excitedly, putting her book down, giving up on the idea of studying.
"oh, yes!" cho's eyes lit up, "i am one of the only girls on the team, i've never really got to practice with another girl."
"we could invite ginny as well," Audrey suggested, "she's very good." Audrey and ginny had practiced together multiple times, helping each other, and giving helpful criticism.
"that sounds lovely," cho said sweetly.
AN: i know that quidditch isn't in the goblet of fire butttt i really want to do all the try outs, practice, and games and after party's soooo wtv.
