"i just- i can't believe ginny didn't tell me," Audrey sighed, as she walked to breakfast with luna. "Ron had to tell me, and we're not even friends right now!"

"i wonder why she didn't," luna said, looking around the corridor.

"i don't know," she said, keeping her eyes glued to the floor. "but i'm pissed."

Audrey was mad at dean for saying it even though he knew it wasn't true, she had to reexplain to him that she didn't want to have sex, almost every time they hung out.

and she was mad at ginny, for keeping it from her. she couldn't think of a reason he best friend would possibly keep something like that from her.

and she was also slightly mad at Ron, for not telling her about it sooner. but, she understood, they were fighting.

but not anymore.

they walked into the great hall, and Audrey immediately walked to the Gryffindor table.

"ginny," she said, grabbing her wrist and pulling her from the table. "good morning to you to,"

"come with me, right fucking now." she said, walking out of the great hall, ginny following close behind.
"what happened?" she asked, as they walked into the corridor.

"you kept it from me!" she exclaimed, anger bubbling in her chest. "Ron told me about what dean has been saying, about us having sex."

"and you were there! you knew he was lying and didn't tell me!" Audrey watched as ginny's face drop, realizing what she was saying.

"oh Audrey, i'm sorry!" she explained, grabbing her friends hands. "you just were finally getting along, and i didn't wanna be the one to ruin it!"

"especially not after thanksgiving had gone so well, and lacy was finally back home, it just felt wrong to ruin your happiness," she explained quickly.

"you still should've told me," Audrey said, she understood what ginny was saying, but she still felt betrayed. "i know, i know, i'm really sorry."

"please, forgive me Audrey." she begged, brows knitted together. "it's okay, i understand why you did it."

"thank you, Audrey." ginny threw her arms around her, holding her tightly. "i promise, i won't keep anything like that from you every again!"

"good," she pulled away, letting herself smile.

"what are you gonna do about dean?" ginny asked, "honestly, i don't know."

"Audrey!" dean said, pulling her shoulder to turn her around. "i've been saying your name!"

"yeah you've been saying a lot of shit." she spat, jerking her arm back. "woah, what are you talking about?" he asked, brows knitting together.

"care to tell me why you have been telling people that we are having sex?" she exclaimed, feeling her anger grow. "you know we aren't, and besides, why would that be anyone's business?"

they were standing in the corridor, and Audrey could feel people starting to look at her.

"who told you that?" he asked, rolling his eyes. "Ron." she said firmly, "because i can trust him, unlike you!"

"of course he did Audrey!" he exclaimed, attempting to grab her hands. "he's trying to sabotage us,"

"but it's true!" she said, ripping her hands away. "i already talked to Ginny, i know you said it."

"cmon Audrey," he said, trying to give her puppy dog eyes. "let me take you on a date tonight, to make it up to you."

a date.

Audrey had so desperately been wanting dean to take her on a date, instead of just laying in his bed.

"fine," she sighed, she knew it was wrong, and that she shouldn't accept it as an apology, but she just wanted to be taken on a date.

"perfect, i'll pick you up at seven tonight." he said, before leaving.

she sighed, watching him walk the other direction.

she knew that she should break it off at this point, she had already been thinking about it and now she had the perfect excuse, but she just couldn't bring herself to do it.

she walked to class, head hung low deep in thought.

"trouble in paradise?" a unfamiliar voice asked.

Audrey looked to her left, to find a tall blonde boy.

"what do you want, Malfoy?" she signed, looking away from him.

"just to remind you about my offer," he smirked, "let me take you to the yule ball, hm?"

"absolutely not," she laughed. "i'm going with my boyfriend, who i am not having trouble with." she lied, wanting this conversation to end.

"yeah," he said, "that isn't true. i heard the whole conversation,"

she took a glance at him, feeling truly vulnerable. "stop eavesdropping, weirdo." she said, speeding up to try to get away from him.

"you were screaming, Audrey." he said, "and by the way, i wouldn't tell people we were shagging, even if we were." he shrugged, finally walking away.
