cho had invited all the girls to her dorm for a sleepover, since she had one all to herself while her dorm mate was visiting family.
"so Audrey, what color do you want for the yule ball?" cho asked, "huh, i don't know,"
"well," cho said, as she painted her toe nails white. "there's a trip to hogsmead tomorrow, and i thought we could all go dress shopping together?"
"oh my gosh, yes!" ginny said, as she took of her makeup, luna nodding along.
"that sounds great, cho!" Audrey said, "we could get our shoes, dress, and even jewelry!"
Audrey had saved up a decent amount of money over the summer, and was fully prepared to spend it on the dance.
"okay, i know she's kinda snobby," ginny sighed, "but could we invite Hermione? mum wrote to me telling me i had to be nice to her, something and how she thinks her and Ron are soulmates, i don't fucking know."
"she thinks that?" Audrey asked, letting her head fall. "oh, yeah i guess," ginny said, remembering how everything went down between the two of them.
"um, i have to use the bathroom, but yeah you should totally invite her," she said, not wanting to talk about it.
"great, i'll send her a note now,"

the girls were all getting ready for hogsmead.
"hey Audrey," ginny said, picking up Audreys wand. "would you do that spell on my hair, you know the curls?"
"of course i can!" Audrey said as she took the wand from ginny, and then performing the spell.
"one day your gonna have to teach me that," cho said, burrowing Lunas eyeliner.
"hm, i don't know," Audrey shrugged, "i like that you need me," she laughed as she put her wand down.
"ha, ha," she said, rolling her eyes.
"so, is Hermione coming?" luna asked, changing into jeans. "yeah, she should be here any minute."
Audrey had nothing really bonded with Hermione, she had just never really got the chance.
"so, shopping, lunch, then more shopping?" Audrey asked, looking around the room. "yes." ginny said.
there was a knock at the door, and cho rushed to open it.
"hey Hermione!" she said, moving so she could come in her room.
she walked into the room silently, and sat on the bed that luna had slept in.
"so Mione, what color are you looking for?" ginny asked, spraying herself with perfume.
"i don't know, pink, maybe blue?" she said, pulling down her sweater.
"same here, i look best in blue.' cho said, running a brush through her hair.
"you guys ready?" ginny asked, slipping on her combat boots. "yup," Audrey said, putting her lip gloss into her jean pocket.
they got to hogsmead, and immediately searched for any dress shops they could find.
"here, this looks promising." ginny said, opening the door to the shop.
it was a small, hidden boutique that Audrey had never heard of, and it was gorgeous.
"okay, i know we're here for dresses, but this jeans are to die for!" Ginny said, holding up a pair of ripped jeans.
"this earrings would look so good on you luna," cho said, handing a pair of dangly earrings to her.
"okay its official, i love it here," Audrey said looking around at everything.
"it's okay," Hermione said, looking through a pile of shirts.
"how could i help you girls?" the shop owner asked, with a thick french accent.
"we need, formal dresses." Hermione said, putting down the shirt she had been looking at.
"ah yes, the yule ball, right this way." she said, leading the girls to the other side of the shop.
she had rows and rows are dresses, long, short, and any color you could think of.
"these are breathtaking," luna said, running her hand down a row.
"thank you madam," the shop owner said, smiling as she watched the girls admire her dresses. "i hand make them myself."
"no way," cho said, picking up a pink dress.
"let me know when you need fitting rooms," she said with a smile, before walking back to the counter.
the girls tried on dresses for hours, showing each other every single dress.
cho, luna, and ginny had all found and paid for they're dresses, but Audrey and Hermione were having some trouble.
Audrey had found beautiful dresses, but they just didn't suit her on.
"wait," ginny muttered, looking through dresses for Audrey as she tried another one on, "Audrey, come here,"
"wait is it?" she said, coming out of the dresses room in a blue ballgown. "this," ginny said, holding up the prettiest dress Audrey had ever seen.
"oh my goodness," luna said, admiring the dress. "that would look amazing on you, Audrey."
"hand it over," Audrey smiled, taking the dress from ginny.
she tried it on, having ginny tie up the back since she couldn't herself.
"it's," ginny said, looking at her friend. "perfect." Hermione finished, admiring her.
"thank you, Hermione," Audrey said, never receiving a compliment for her before.
"you have to get it," Hermione said, while ginny nodded along.
"what do you guys think?" Audrey asked cho and luna, who were still looking for a dress for Hermione.
"uhm," cho said, making her way to the three girls with luna close behind. "i can see why your uh a love triangle!" she exclaimed.
"you are so sexy," she said, "love triangle.." she heard Hermione mutter, but decided not to say anything.
"you look like a earth goddess," luna said, "that's a compliment, right?" Audrey laughed.
luna nodded, a smile growing on her face.
"and these shoes, would be absolutely perfect." cho said, handing her a pair of heels she had just found.
"there's my size to,"
