"so when can i leave?" she asked madam pomfrey, as she took another spoon of medicine.
"tomorrow morning," she sighed, Audrey had asked at least 50 times.
it was only her second day there, and she was getting bored.
dean, and her friends had stopped by occasionally, but it was never for more then 10 minutes.
"cant i just leave today?" she asked, hopefully. "it's only a broken arm."
"it is not a broken arm, it is shattered." she replied firmly. "your lucky, in the muggle world an injury like this would take months or even years, and many painful surgery's."
"alright!" Ron exclaimed as he walked into the hospital wing holding a cardboard box full of things.
"i got all the things you might want," he explained as he sat the box on the end of her bed
"what a gentleman," she smiled, sitting up to look in the box.
"how's your arm feeling?" he asked, sitting next to the box.
"numb," she replied, looking through the box with her hood arm. "madam pomfreys pain killers are no joke."
"glad she's taking care of you," he laughed, "oh thank godric and brought my hairbrush!" she grinned widely.
"i thought i was gonna have to shave my head," she said, as she attempted to brush her hair.
apparently brushing your basically matted hair with one arm was kinda hard, "god damnit," she muttered.
"here, let me try." he said, putting his hand out for the brush.
she looked at him for a moment, unsure. "have you ever brushed a girls hair?" she questioned.
"oh cmon, i used to brush my moms hair all the time." he said, taking the brush from her.
she turned to the side, as he got up from the bed and stood behind her.
he brushed softly, holding her hair so it wouldn't pull.
"thanks Ronnie," she said, missing the nickname.
"course rey," he said taking notice of the name.
he brushed and brushed, until all of the knots were gone, and he could glide the brush through her hair easily.
"your good at this," she said quietly, as Ron began to run his hands through her hair.
he tucked it behind her ear, pushing it to the side and letting it rest on her shoulder.
he then let his fingers trail down the side of her neck, and to the back.
"new necklace.." he muttered, "that won't last long, it's sliver."
"Ron, i-" she tried to speak, but was to distracted by him, letting his fingers trail down her back.
"what's going on here?" dean asked, appearing out of nowhere.
"oh hey dean," she said, turning around to look at him, but Ron was still in front of her, now also looking at dean.
she slipped the hairbrush out of his hand, and sat it back into the box.
"i was just helping Audrey," Ron shrugged, still standing directly in front of her.
"hm," dean hummed, as he made his way to the bed.
he kept walking till he was face to face with Ron, Audrey watched as his knuckles turned white."excuse me, bud." dean said, plastering a fake smile on.
Ron hummed, as he walked to the end of the bed.
"i'll leave you two alone then," Ron said, Audrey watched as his jaw clenched, and his tongue poked through his cheek.
"bye Ron," she whispered, feeling the tension in the air.
dean and Ron didn't even need to speak to each other to get mad, all they had to do was look at each other and boom, pissed.
"thank you," she said, as she watched the ginger walk out of the hospital wing.
"what did he help you with?" dean asked as he sat on the bed.
"oh he just- helped brush my hair," she explained, "and he brought me some of my things."
"i could've done that for you," he said, looking through the box.
it had her hairbrush, toothbrush and toothpaste, fuzzy socks, mascara, lipgloss, a change of clothes, tampons, the book she was reading, chocolates, hair ties, and the necklace Ron bought her.
"your necklace?" he asked, "why would you need this, i bought you one."
"i don't know, he just brought this i didn't ask him to." she explained quickly.
"hm," he hummed.
A/N: y'all, the socks. he was in her underwear drawer.
