"god i hate Monday's," Audrey said dramatically, walking to breakfast with luna. "i have potions at 8am! it is to early to deal with snape and his abnormally large nose."

"i like Monday's, and Wednesdays." luna said airy, looking at her surroundings.

"merlin i am starving!" Audrey said with a sigh as they walked into the great hall.

"your quite opinionated today," luna joked, "ha ha," Audrey said, making eye contact with luna.

as they ate, the owls flew through the air dropping letters and packages.

Audrey's aunt graces owl flew towards her, a spark of excitement enlightened in her stomach.

she caught the letter as it fell from above her, opening it quickly. to her surprise, it wasn't from grace, but from Isabella.

Audrey, i need you to come home. mum was in a car accident and she's in a muggle hospital, i'm staying at a friends house right now. i don't know what to do, it's really bad Audrey. please write back and come home. i need you.

Audrey's heart dropped to her stomach, as tears welled in her eyes, her appetite disappearing in seconds.

"Audrey?" luna asked, seeing Audrey's chest raising and falling uncontrollably fast.

"i'm fine," she gasped, shoving the letter into her pocket, and hurrying away quickly leaving luna confused.

Ron watched Audrey open a letter probably from dean, he thought.

until he saw he reaction, he could see her breath visibly change, her shoulders raising up rapidly as her hand ran through her hair anxiously.

he watched as she scurried away, a single tear rolling down her cheek.

"i'll be back," he said, eyebrows knitted together.

Hermione pouted, as she watched the ginger she so desperately longed for followed another girl, another girl who didn't want him.

Ron's pace quickened, as he desperately tried to catch up to her.

Audrey face was hot and red, she felt tear after tear stream from her eyes as they burned.

she turned a corner and fell to the wall, sliding down to the floor, her hands reaching to the sides of her head, tugging at her hair lightly.

Ron watched her turn the corner, and spotted a glance of her face, he could see the tears falling from her eyes.

he turned, and continued walking, he was so caught up in finding her, he almost missed her completely.

Audrey jumped slightly at his sudden presence, "Ron?" she whimpered, watery eyes looking up at him.

"Audrey," he said softly, falling in front of her. "what's the matter?"

"oh Ron," a gasp escaped her, so many emotions running through she could barely speak. "it's my aunt, it's Lacy!"

he sat next to her, now leaning against the cold wall.
her head fall into his shoulder immediately, as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

his face turned a deep crimson as he hugged her backed, holding her as he placed his chin on her head.

"tell me why happened, rey," it just slipped out, he had been thinking about something only he would call her, the twins took Aud, so he took rey.

she heard it, but she was to upset to care.

"isa wrote to me, i have to go home," she whimpered into him softly. "lacy was in a car accident, and she's in a muggle hospital, and i don't know if she's okay, and i don't know how we're gonna pay for it, and isa is all alone and she's sleeping at someone else's house, and i'm so scared!"

Ron hugged her tightly as she rambled, taking in every word, every single detail.

"we can talk to dumbledore, and he'll send you home." he said, "and i'm sure if she was- if she wasn't okay then isa would have told you."
he was trying to help, truly. he just wasn't sure how.

"thank you, Ron" she said, watery eyes looking up at him.

Audrey packed in a rush, needing to make it home quick as possible.

she grabbed her bags and quickly left her dorm room.

she stepped into Dumbledores office, head hung low with swallow eyes. "miss hammond, your porkey is almost ready."

"thank you, professor." she said softly, finally making eye contact with him.

he examined her sad, tear stained face.

she just needed to go home.

A/N: i knwo she's being a bit dramatic, but she's also a hormonal 13 year old who was no idea if her aunt who is basically her mother is even alive 🥲 i feel at her age i would've reacted much worse
