"Audrey!" lacy exclaimed, looking for her niece. "are you ready yet?" she rolled herself into Audrey's bedroom.

"uhm kinda," she said, curling her hair with a muggle curling iron, as she couldn't use magic. "i'm sorry i'm just used to using my wand for this,"

"we're gonna be late," she explained, leaving the room.

she quickly finished her hair, and changed into tights, a black skirt, and a brown turtle neck.

"i'm ready!" she called out, running out of her room.

"finally!" isa said, coming out of her own room, completely ready with her shoes on.

she slipped on a pair of black boots, and helped lacy put on a pair of white sneakers.

"taxi should be outside," lacy said, as Audrey picked up the apple pie she made.

"don't be silly," Audrey said, "we're using a portkey."
she picked up a watch that isa and lacy had never seen.

"grab on," she said, and they obeyed.

muggles weren't supposed to use portkeys, but under the circumstances Dumbledore allowed to help them out.

they twisted and turned, Audrey grew increasingly nervous.

"what the hell is that thing?" lacy exclaimed once they were back on the ground, now in front of the Thomas house.

"i told you," she said, walking towards the door. "it's a porkey," she shrugged.

"now, they're all muggle but dean," Audrey said as she knocked on the door, her stomach is knots. "his dad died, and his mother remarried and they had three girls,"

"they're 13, 11, and 9." she explained quickly, "isa you should get along with them just fine,"

Audrey turned her head to the door, and let out a sigh, desperately trying to calm her nerves.

the door opened suddenly, revealing deans step father. "hello mr Thomas," Audrey said, looking up at the tall man.

"oh hello, come in!" he smiled, holding the door open widely so they could come in.

"Audrey!" dean said, hurrying to the door to greet his girlfriend and her family.

he hugged her quickly, Audrey could smell his cologne, which he normally never wore.

he then turned to lacy, "hello mrs hammond," he said, reaching out to shake her hand.

"it's actually hammond-laur, but please call me lacy."
she smiled, looking up at him.

"and you must be isa," he said, looking down to the young girl.

she nodded, looking up at him.

"come on, my sisters are in the dining room."

they're house was nice, it had wood flooring, and the walls were grey, and it smelt of delicious food that mrs thomas was making.

"this is Sophie," he said, pointing to the oldest girl as she sat at the table. "that's Chloe," he said pointing to the middle, as she played sat at the table with some type of dough. "and this is Ava," he said, pointing to the girl who sat next to Chloe, watching her play with the red dough.

"go play, baby," lacy encouraged, slightly pushing her back. isa walked to the girls slowly, and sat down next to Chloe.

"hi, can i play to?" she asked hopefully.

the twos girls nodded eagerly, getting out more dough.

"they seem sweet," Audrey said quietly to dean, as she watched the scene unfold. "sometimes," he smiled, before leading them to the kitchen.

"hello mrs Thomas," Audrey said, admiring her beautiful kitchen. his mother turned around to face the four, as she wiped the flour on her hands onto her apron.

"oh please, call me Jennifer!" she said, wrapping her arms around Audrey, her nerves suddenly seemed to vanish.

"here, i made it myself, no promise that it's good." Audrey laughed, as Jennifer let go of her.

she handed her the pie, which was still warm.

"it looks delicious," she said, taking it from Audrey. "i'm sure you did a wonderful job!"

"you must be mrs hammond, right?" Jennifer asked, setting the pie on the counter. "please, call me lacy."

"as long as you call me Jennifer and not mrs Thomas," she smiled, bending down to hug lacy.

"is there anything i can help you with?" Audrey asked, as Jennifer made her way make to the stove.

"have you ever made stuffing?" she asked, looking back at Audrey.

she nodded eagerly, desperate to bond with her.

"then get your ass over here," she smiled.

the two girls had finally finished the food, and had called in dean and mrs Thomas to help them set the table.

"so, what'd you two talk about?" dean asked her, as they carried food from one room to another. "not you," she said, in a sing song voice.

"better not have," he joked, placing down a plate of cookies to the middle of the table.

"girls, foods ready!" mrs Thomas called out to the girls, who had ended up in Chloe's room.

they all came running and giggling, sitting on the bench by the table.
