to Audrey thanksgiving was mostly about food, but it was mostly just an excuse to go home and see her family.

she hadn't got to spend nearly as much time as she would have wanted with lacy, but school had to come first or something like that.

"i'll miss you," Ginny said as she hugged her friend goodbye, as the two stood on platform 9 and three quarters. "your sure you can't come visit just for one day?"

"i don't know if that's really a good idea gin," she sighed, looking to Ron.

"can't you two just kiss and make up already," ginny exclaimed, not truly realizing the irony in what she had just said until it was to late. "well, not kiss, just even a friendly hug?"

"i think as long as i'm with dean," she said, pinching down into the scab on her wrist, "we can't be friends."

"then break up with dean," she whispered, hoping no one would hear her.

"i like dean ginny," she said, rolling her eyes.

ginny wanted her to be happy, she really did.

but she knew that dean was lying to people about them sleeping together, and she had to bite her tongue not to say anything.

"i know but-" she started, desperately wanting to tell her.

"but what?" Audrey asked, brows knitting together in confusion.

"cmon ginny it's time to go," Ron called out, they're mother had arrived to pick them and the twins up.

Audrey waved to mrs Weasley, smiling brightly. her and molly had met very briefly, but it had always been polite.

mrs Weasley waved back as ginny walked towards them, leaving her friend.

"hey Audrey," dean said, stepping off the train. "my mums already here, but i'll see you Friday right tho?"

Audrey and dean made plans to meet each other family on Friday, having a joint dinner party at deans house.

"yup," she said, smiling up at him.

he kissed her forehead, and walked away.

Audrey walked outside of the train station, making it easier for lacy's and isa.

a yellow taxi pulled up to the curb, and a man rolled down his window.

"Audrey hammond?" he asked, staring directly at her.

"uhm yes?" she said, looking around her.

"your aunt, lacy sent me to pick you up." he explained. right, she can't drive anymore.

"oh, okay," she said, putting her bags into the trunk.

she climbed into the backseat of the taxi, and put on her seat belt.

Audrey didn't really like the idea of riding alone with a random middle aged man, but she didn't really have a choice.

she was silent the entire 30 minute car ride, eyes glued to the floor.

"we're here miss," he said, "it's already paid for."

"thank you," she said, she stepped out of the car, and pulled her bags out of the trunk, before making her way inside.

"oh honey, i'm home!" she exclaimed, walking into the apartment.

"Audrey!" isa said, throwing her arms around her cousin.

"isa, let her set her bags down first," lacy laughed, as she rolled her wheelchair towards the girls.

Audrey had never seen lacy like this, she was so, helpless.

"hey lace," she said, bending over to hug her aunt.

Audrey walked to her room and unpacked her bags, laying out her outfits for thanksgiving one and two.
